About Me

I'm a born and bred Cape Town girl and can't imagine living anywhere else. I love our diverse city! I studied Events Management at university and took a keen interest in one of my subjects, tourism. I've always been passionate about travelling as I love meeting new people and exploring new places.

When I'm not working, I love spending time with my daughter, hiking, going to the beach, and taking long drives exploring our city and surrounds.

Where I have travelled

I've been lucky enough to travel extensively through South Africa – I've travelled along the Garden Route, Eastern Cape, Johannesberg, Pilanesberg, Madikwe, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Kruger, and Tswalu. I've also visited Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, and Tanzania.

My favourite travel moment

I have so many but my favourite moment would definitely be floating over the Serengeti Plains in a hot-air balloon!

What I love about Africa

The diversity of people, culture, and landscape.

My best African travel advice

While travelling, take it easy and take it all in. I'd also recommend that you take lots of pictures – I love referring back to pictures and videos when I feel nostalgic.

Where I’d love to go next

I would love to visit one of the islands. I can picture myself sitting at the beach in the Seychelles or Mauritius with a pina colada in my hand.
