I was born and raised on a farm at the foot of the Aberdare Range in Kenya. Growing up, I learnt a great deal about the wildlife and nature around Aberdare National Park, which inspired my desire to join the tourism industry. I have now been in the industry for over 10 years and have loved working with organisations that are committed to sustainable travel.
My best moment was when I met, and interacted with, the San Bushmen in Grootfontein, Namibia. It was amazing to see their deep respect for nature and their tight family bonds. While there, I also witnessed a rain dance and, incredibly, a total downpour shortly after the dance!
I organised a family trip for 3 to the Maasai Mara – which I soon found out from the parents that this was a gift for their son who had performed well at school that year. To add to their gift, I arranged a surprise balloon safari for them – I'm happy to report that the son had a fantastic time and really loved his gift.
