528 Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is one of Africa's most popular tourist destinations. It lies along the southern bank of the Zambezi River, hugging the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The town is named after its iconic waterfall, which towers over 100 metres in height. During the rainy season, massive sheets of water cascade down the gorge, generating a thunderous roar and dramatic mists. Locals refer to it as Mosi-oa-Tunya, which translates to “The Smoke That Thunders.”
The guest house is just a short drive or leisurely walk from the Falls and is designed to reflect the expert craftsmanship of Zimbabwe's talented artisans. The outer walls are adorned with intricate carvings, framed by lush green gardens, while the interior showcases colourful murals and bespoke décor. The delicate contrast between modern architecture and the natural environment creates a harmonious atmosphere.
There are a number of outdoor activities available for you to book. You can enjoy boating along the Zambezi River to catch a closer glimpse of the meandering waterways, then hop on a helicopter for aerial views of the town and nearby wildlife reserves. For a slower-paced experience, you can spend your days strolling through the town, admiring the art galleries and shopping for bespoke items at the local markets.
