The perfect beach destination to top your Kenya safari, Alfajiri Cliff Villa invites you for a secret and exclusive escape on Kenya's tropical coastline. This private-use villa is located on a secluded part of Diani Beach – a stretch of shoreline that spans 10 miles and boasts dazzling blue warm waters. Alfajiri is close enough to the small town of Diani for shopping or dining out but removed enough to offer a haven of peace and tranquillity. A large barrier reef keeps the ocean calm and clear: perfect for boating and kite surfing.

Split over three levels, Alfajiri Cliff Villa is a luxurious seaside castle fit for royalty (several A-list celebrities have reputedly enjoyed under-the-radar stays here), and has four different suites that make it perfect for a family of up to eight. Take your pick of beautiful white armchairs and day beds and enjoy elevated views over the Indian Ocean, white sand beaches, tropical forest and rustling palm trees. A dedicated staff are on hand to ensure you have everything you need, and all meals are tailored to your preferences. The team includes a private masseuse for daily massages, chef, butler and the owner who will host you and arrange all of your activities.

The villa opens out onto an expansive lawn that is ideal for children (and adults) to enjoy impromptu games of garden cricket, touch rugby or football and there is also a large sun-splashed swimming pool just feet away. One of the loveliest swimming pools on the Kenyan coast, it looks out over the ocean and a ‘giraffe-patterned' bottom.

Alfajiri Cliff Villa is owner-managed and you can expect welcoming Mediterranean hospitality where nothing is too much trouble and the emphasis is very much on having a great time in Kenya.

 

Make a Positive Impact Through Travel

Alfajiri is committed to the protection of biodiversity and strengthening livelihoods. They have partnered with organisations committed to the protection of Kenya's marine environment and preservation of primates, together with a local charity to safeguard children's rights. Each guest staying at Alfajiri contributes to the foundation by donating US$ 10 per adult per night and US$ 5 per teenager/child per night. This has been set up to annually support the Diani Turtle Watch, Reefolution, Germano Chincherini Foundation, and Colobus Trust. Guests are welcome to make larger donations if they wish, as well as visit the organisations through their active programs.

Cliff Villa

Each of the four bedrooms vary in size, with a combination of twin and double beds. The main bedroom is the draped Turret Suite and boasts 270-degree ocean views – a treat to wake up. On the first floor, there are two double rooms with a private veranda, and a twin room on the ground floor.

General Facilities

East Africa meets Asia in this romantic villa adorned with ornate wood carvings, mosaics, Persian rugs and boudoirs elegantly draped in white.
The large veranda has hand-carved sofas and flows onto a very sizeable swimming pool, all perfectly positioned to take in the ocean views. Share meals in the open-sided dining area, and escape to a quiet corner after dinner, sinking into plush Indian fabrics and listening to the gently lapping shore.

Ingredients for the Mediterranean-inspired seafood menu include only the best of the day's catch from shellfish and yellowfin tuna to dorado and snapper. Fruit and vegetables arrive daily from the local farms. After consulting with your private chef, your meals will be prepared according to your own preferences, and served at your leisure. A selection of South African and South American wines completes the dining experience.
