Cape Grace

The Cape Grace was wonderful. So glad we chose to stay there. It was the perfect location.

Located at the iconic V&A Waterfront, this hotel is a superb base from which to explore the city. Its location allows for gorgeous views from the main areas and rooms of either Table Mountain or Cape Town harbour.

The Cape Grace makes one feel special as soon as they walk into the hotel, with their personalised approach. The hotel isn’t as spacious as one would expect it to be, however incorporates Cape Town’s history throughout the hotel with each floor representing different events in time. I find the hotel is best suited for older couples and people celebrating their anniversary, however it does offer many kiddies activities for families. The fourth floor is perfect for couples as it is not open to children. Something that stood out to me was the complementary wine tasting available to guests and have a whisky tasting on offer in the Bascule Bar.

The Cape Grace Hotel was top-notch. They made us feel so welcomed each and every day. Called us by name, always interested in what our plans were and then wanted to hear about them.

Cape Grace has the right location for city visit. They are, as usual, attentive and have a good kitchen.

I truly enjoyed my stay in Cape Grace – such a fascinating hotel with impeccable service.

We received superb service at the Cape Grace Hotel! The Cape Grace must be a definite stay for anyone wishing to experience what is great and good about this wonderful country.

The staff at Cape Grace were efficient and gracious.

We arrived at Cape Grace later in the afternoon and checked into Room #1, which had a little balcony and overlooked the marina. It was a lovely room, perfect for our four-night stay.

It was top class. Our room was amazing, looking at the harbor as well as the mountains. They treated us so well, and I really liked the use of their local car to take us to dinner and such.

Thank you so much again. Everything was great and we loved South Africa. The accommodations were all impeccable with great service. The transfers also worked out great and we found the drivers very prompt and informative. We also used an amazing guide (riaan@hiketablemountain.co.za) to hike table mountain who I would highly recommend.

We will definitely refer our friends to you in the future. Hopefully we will also be back and use you again 🙂

The Cape Grace was a great location with impeccable service.

Finally we came to the Cape Grace. The hotel is something else. Location is just unbeatable and the hotel is fabulous. We just could not believe our eyes when we were taken to our room. It was fantastic. Really fantastic, and we really enjoyed it, mostly the convenience of the location at the waterfront. We would walk to the waterfront for a while and come back. Just outstanding. The quality of the food was great.

I really enjoyed our stayl. The hotel and staff were great, ideal location. I certainly would recommend the it, its worth the price.

The Cape Grace was the perfect choice for a hotel in Cape Town. The location on the V&A was ideal for access to shops and restaurants – much better than anything downtown. Restaurant prices in South Africa were less than half what we would pay in Canada, and food and wine quality was first-class. We made use of the hotel car service to visit the Mountain and the city centre. The superior room was huge, comfortable, and had very amenity we could have wished for. The bathroom was amazing. Breakfasts were excellent and room service was good, with reasonable cost. We didn’t use the balcony much, so if we were to repeat we may take a standard room. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. We used their picnic service one day when Ilios took us on a drive to the West Coast national park. The hotel also arranged a tour of the SANCCOB penguin sanctuary which was very interesting and worthwhile.

They coped with renovation works quite well although it did mean that the breakfast environment was quite restricted and the “Signal” restaurant was operating from the Library. Staff were very friendly and the hotel provided an excellent base for our usual Cape Town expeditions.

We also loved Cape Town and the Cape Grace Hotel. Our tour guide (Michael) was so nice and informative….spending three days with him was beyond enjoyable as well as educational. We loved it all….Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, the penguins, the botanical gardens and of course, Stellenbosch. We are looking forward to receiving the wine we bought!

Cape Grace upgraded us to a Superior Luxury, as did Rovos to a Deluxe Suite. As always they cannot be faulted.

Comfortable, high level service, very good restaurant and whisky bar. Close to many attractions and easy to reach. What to say: the right place to stay in Cape Town.

I have to say that rounding off in the Cape Grace was almost as good as it gets…..anywhere.

Cape Grace is a wonderful, personal, hotel. Great facilities, including the room, and superb service from excellent staff.

Thanks to you and Go2Africa we had the best vacation ever. The Cape Grace hotel was very welcoming and comfortable, of course the Londolozi Camp and animal drives was the most exciting. Our guide Telley Smith was outstanding, articulate, knowledgeable, and good with people. Your arrangements timing and personal care helped the most.

I just wanted to thank you again for all your help with our trip to SA. We have been back for over a week now and have some wonderful memories of spending our honeymoon there. Both Sun City and the Cape Grace left a bottle of champagne in our room which was a very nice touch. We had very good service from both hotels but must say that we thought the Cape Grace was magnificent. The customer care provided to us was superb, starting with the collection from Cape Town station to the taking to the airport 9 nights later. The tours were good too, particularly the winelands private tour, where our guide included the Meerlust estate at our request also.

The staff at the Cape Grace were welcoming, and the service was really top notch. Being upgraded to a room with the table mountain view was the cherry on top.

The Cape Grace was incredible…the service was second to none. The food at signal was probably our favorite meal on the entire trip!

Our time is Cape Town was wonderful and everything worked out very well.

The hotels and the service were exceptional everywhere we went and I doubt that there is any hotel that can top the Cape Grace for service where the staff could simply not do enough for you. The trips we took around the cape were also brilliant with our guide both entertaining and knowledgeable.

Great suggestion – Cape Grace… they know how to pamper you.

Cape Grace is an excellent hotel!!!

The Cape Grace Hotel has service that is unparalleled. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment (thank you if you had anything to do with that). The kids couldn’t stop jumping up and down and screaming when they saw the apartment. The kids looked forward every day to their 6pm activity with Julia asking about it all day long. Everyone who worked there had a smile and accommodated every request. In our First Class Cabin from Johannesburg to London, 11 of 13 passengers had stayed at the Cape Grace and raved about it (I didn’t speak to the other 2 so it may have been 13 of 13). Without a doubt we will be going back to the Cape Grace Hotel at some point.

I cannot say enough about the Cape Grace Hotel. The property itself was beautiful and located so close to the V & A Waterfront which made it so convenient. The staff at the Cape Grace were so friendly and pleasant. They bent over backwards to please you and made you feel comfortable! We were so happy to have stayed there!!!

All of the places we stayed at were superb, but I must say that the staff at Cape Grace were some of the best I have come across. I travel a lot with work (we were in 32 countries last year) and I must say that they really were a level above a lot of the 5* hotels/resorts we have been to and we will definitely be going back there again.

Very nice hotel, excellent service, the team was very friendly & the meals were great. I would love to book there again the next time we visit Cape Town.

Cape Grace was spectacular! It really is a jewel of a hotel. The service is outstanding and the employees went out of their way to assist.

Well, where to begin. First, the Cape Grace was delightful. We felt that the Cape Grace was the perfect place to stay in Cape Town. The wine country made us feel like we were in Europe rather than Africa.

Cape Grace was a terrific hotel.

Cape Grace was spectacular, they upgraded us into a 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor!! Your doing probably, thank you. It was sensational in every way. The staff were brilliant, the accommodation divine and Bill asked me to marry him so it doesn’t get any better than that. Also there was an abundance of chocolates 🙂 and champagne. We shopped for a diamond and life was grand.

We enjoyed Cape Town so much! Cape Grace is unforgettable! We also got an upgrade and our room had such astonishing views! We had Table Mountain on our left and V&A waterfront on our right. 0ur guide was very good, very close and nice, he told us all about the city, Cape Point, Botanical Garden, etc. he was really nice! An we enjoyed the waterfront so much. There are some amazing restaurants and shops!

Cape Grace was fantastic and terrific for kids. They all loved the little touches like popcorn delivered to the room along with a movie rental. It was Teddy’s birthday, while we were there and without our mentioning anything about it, they had passed on word to all the restaurants where they had made us reservations, and the restaurants had little surprises for him. Cape Grace also had a cake and present delivered to the room. He was really thrilled.

Cape Town and the lovely Cape Grace Hotel was a great way to start the holiday.

Cape Grace Hotel. The facilities were great, the staff were very friendly and the level of service was very good. The location of the hotel was great and allowed us to stroll around the Waterfront area with no hassle.

Cape Grace could not have been more wonderful and customer oriented.

It was exceptional in every way with courtesy, compassion and service expressed in every encounter. The rooms were wonderful and on the second leg of our trip, when we returned back to Cape Town, we were upgraded to a beautiful 2-bedroom suite with the Levine’s. Kudos to the staff with special recognition to concierges Tanya and Jules, as well as management. When we were in the hospital on Saturday during Kathy’s surgery, the hotel sent over sandwiches and made appearances in support of the family. They could not have been more compassionate and understanding in dealing with the extraordinary circumstances. A class organization.

Back to Cape Town, back to our beloved Cape Grace, able to get out and see a bit more of the city, the coastal areas, some nice meals

The Cape Grace is so beautiful, thank you so much for your guidance with that selection! The service there is impeccable and the location is great. We loved Cape Town. I can’t believe you get to live there! 🙂 The tours were great, very informative and we really felt like we got to see lots of the city and the surrounding areas. We also ate at the Royale Eatery and the hamburgers were delicious. The trip on the yacht at the Cape Grace was wonderful as well, we had a beautiful day and it was well worth it.

It was exactly as expected, a top-notch full-service city hotel. The staff were exceptional and did a little something special for us each day in recognition of our honeymoon.

Cape Grace is very nice. Our vacation was, indeed amazing apart from a few annoyances, though nothing major.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and for me it was a lifetime experience.

It was fantastic, even better as we were upgraded to a suite! Their service was top notch – laid back but very attentive and we found the location perfect.

It was perfect, we saw the penguins on Boulder beach, visited Cape Point & Cape of Good Hope, drove 45 minutes to the beaches of Blouberg to see the sunset and picturesque views of Table Mountain, visited the wine yards in Constantia (Klein Constantia was our favorite), and we saw a few whales too! I also listened to your advice and negotiated with Shumansky. The result was a beautiful tanzanite and diamond ring for Lorraine. I actually made it a surprise and gave it to her our first night at Singita. After our first dinner, we arrived in our suite to a roaring fire in the fireplace and it was just a perfect setting.

Loved it. 5-star grace, with 3-star informality. The staff didn’t make you feel awkward, walking into the lobby with dust on your shoes. The downstairs bar/lounge area was very nice, and the staff there was most accommodating. Good Scotch selection, too!
First, about Go2Africa. I can only use superlatives in describing the service. Monique was wonderful, from beginning to end. It was such a treat to meet her in person, and discover that she is as bright and charming in person as she appeared to be in all her emails! The support staff-particularly Joscelyn and , later, Sandy-couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive. We so very much appreciate all the effort that was made to ensure that our African trip was a true adventure.

We ate at wonderful restaurants and absolutely adored the Cape Grace (the room was divine, thank you). We went to the wine country and Cape Point, and thoroughly enjoyed our time in your city.

It is a very nice hotel, though unfortunately, no where near as nice as the Marine in Hermanus. We were not in the hotel for long, so really can not say much about it. We left the following morning. We went for dinner to the Balthazar, someone at home recommended it. It was very good. We also squeezed in Table Mountain – took the cablecar up and walked down. Couldn’t walk properly for about 3 days afterwards !! but it was worth it. The view is great.

The service was good in the hotel, but i really can not say much more due to the short duration. I would, however, definitely go back to properly see Cape Town, as it looked like a lovely pllace, with lots to do.

It was outstanding as usual. We had dinner at the hotel one night and made our obligatory stop at Baia another night. (I could willingly have two meals per day there!)
