The views from the Chobe River by boat were great. Hippos out of the water feeding, the herds of Cape Buffalo and elephant migrating to the river made it all worthwhile. The second morning in camp was a real memorable moment - at 4 am the local lion pride came into camp bellowing, sniffing and setting off all of the impala and birds with alarm calls. Two thumbs up!

The highlight was Chobe. Chobe is a magical place that fully introduced us to nature in Africa. We saw the big 5, we saw the magnificent 7, we saw the ugly 5... we saw things that took our breath away. The moment that you first see a black maned lion look at you is truly stunning. And then we arrived in Chobe. That was seriously incredible. The only way to do Chobe is in the tents. We heard so much... Elephants trumpeting and doing that little growl sound they make, Lions marking their territory, and looking at the footprints each morning was awesome. They made awesome food for being in tents, it was just overall mind-blowing.

Our stay at Chobe under canvas was spectacular. The large herds of animals we saw: elephant, giraffe, impala, zebra etc all against the back drop of the river and sunsets was breathtaking and memorable. Our guide, Stanza, was a lot of fun and passi onate about the National Park and made him an excellent guide. The highlight was a leopard. Stanza spotted the Leopard in a tree where we watched it for some time then it came down and were able to see quite close and watch it walk into the bushes. We were also chased by a male lion late one afternoon - quite an adrenalin rush. The accommodation, whilst basic, was comfortable, clean and sufficient for 3 nights and the food could not be faulted. We would thoroughly recommend it. We also enjoyed the river cruised especially seeing so many hippo out of water, elephants, crocodiles and birds.

"Off to the tents at Chobe. Magnificant concept which gave us a true picture of being in the wild, a challenge at our stage in life which makes us now appreciate the comforts of home. The amount of game viewing was phenominal."

Chobe was the highlight of our whole trip!! I cant even describe the whole experience, it was so good from start to finish. Wake up to delicious breakfast go for a game drive, where we saw so many different animals in different spots. The guides wer e always explaining things to us and showing us different things, like tracks in the sand and different animal noises. Back for another well cooked meal, some free time, most of us had a little nap. Then another game drive until the sun went down. We never got sick of seeing more animals. Our guide would always ask what people most wanted to see and try and make it happen. For us it did, we all wanted to see a leopard. He was always on the look out with the other guides and always reminded us that we could be seeing a leopard. Until we did, sooo exciting. Then it was back for a hot shower, with everything always ready on our return at camp. The tents were amazing!! With the toilet, hot water for a shower, water for drinking and a very comfortable double bed. Camp was always a fun cheerful atmosphere. The team was so accommodating to everyone and always happy to help or just talk over the camp fire. From start to finish we didn't have to worry about a thing. They knew where we had to be and at what time, we could just relax and enjoy Chobe. Once again I would like to thank you for recommending Chobe under Canvas As it was so amazing and really memorable. Lots of wild life great friendly staff and glamping to the max (glam camping).

A unique camping safari experience immersed in the sights and sounds of our bush surrounds. Robson and his team do a great job under difficult circumstances, and do their very best to make their guests comfortable and happy. Our substitute guide Jak es was great - offered us an extended game drive on our last afternoon to maximise our chances of seeing the very best Chobe has to offer. Overall, it wasn't 5 star luxury or perfect, but it was in many respects better than we expected, and we happily traded a few creature comforts for a more authentic experience.

The Chobe Under Canvas was the most down to earth of the three, and we found it very comfortable and enjoyed the luxurious camping. The range of animals here was amazing, and was the best of the three locations. In all three of these, the guides were first class and went to considerable trouble to find animals and to provide all our needs and requests. Indeed, I found that all staff in the three locations were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel "at home". I did like the complete upfront payment covering all food, alcohol and clothes washing, it really made us feel cared for.

Chobe was just amazing with wildlife everywhere. We had a particularly good group there, all got on really well, and had a lot of laughs, and the trip on the river in the barge was the highlight as a large male hippo charged into the water after a yo unger male - looked like a freight train with a bow wave like a speedboat and we had to move the barge so he couldn't charge right through us.

All the camps were fabulous - a different experience in each one. Chobe under Canvas was a superb experience - the staff couldn't have been better and I really don't know how the chef produced such great meals (and cakes) under such limited kitchen facilities.
