Deception Valley Lodge
Situated in a private concession on the border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Deception Valley Lodge offers an authentic African theme, while the surrounding area offers excellent wildlife sightings. The lodge is an oasis of comfort in this rugged terrain and promises a memorable experience of Botswana's wilderness.
Embark on guided walks with the Bushmen to learn about their culture and hunting techniques, and about the unique flora and fauna of the area. Head out on day or night game drives, occasionally going off-road to follow tracks. Alternatively, sit back and relax with sundowners while admiring the flaming sunsets and star-filled sky.

Such a special and unique experience. The Central Kalahari will add a different aspect to your trip with a focus on the lesser known and rare species of animals as well the way of life of the Kalahari bushmen. Definitely something not to be missed..
Deception Valley Lodge had clean and well-maintained interiors, and the guide, food and the naro bushmen were all exceptional.
Our second stop was Deception Valley Lodge. More than the other locations, the season did seem to impact our ability to see animals. The brush was dense and our game drives mostly focused on birds. The highlight of our stay was the hour spent tracking cheetah by car and on foot through the brush and finally finding 3 of them – very exciting! Despite the lack of animals, though, the lodge was very nice and the food in particular was fantastic.
