Set in a unique location overlooking the beautiful Lesoma Valley, Elephant Valley Lodge lies in the north of the Kasane Forest Reserve, very close to Africa's ‘Four Corners', where the borders of Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe meet. The lodge is a short drive from Chobe National Park's gate and an easy day-trip away from the Victoria Falls, the world's biggest waterfall. This enviable location puts you within convenient striking distance off big game safaris and adrenalin adventures

Elephant Valley Lodge is surrounded by a peaceful wilderness where wild animals move back and forth between Chobe National Park and Zimbabwe's Zambezi National Park. Chobe is Botswana's most biologically diverse park and a haven for some of the biggest elephant herds on the planet. There is no better way to get close to these gentle giants than on a boat safari on the Chobe River. Daily 4×4 game drives in the park will reveal Chobe's predators like lion, leopard, hyena and if you are really lucky, rare wild dogs. Or simply recline in the tranquillity of Elephant Valley Lodge's main area while you watch creatures great and small drop by the lodge's waterhole to quench their thirsts.

Forest Tent

Elephant Valley Lodge comprises spacious Meru-style tents set under the shady canopy of acacia trees surrounding the swimming pool. All tents are equipped with comfortable verandas – ideal spots to unwind and marvel at the area’s superb birdlife – tea-and-coffee-making facilities, electrical charging points and en suite bathrooms.

Other Room Types:

The Valley Tents are waterhole-facing so you can relax on your veranda and watch as animals come and go. The Family Tent has an additional room with twin beds.

General Facilities

The lodge's main communal areas are shaded by large acacia trees and feature a rim-flow swimming pool, open lounge, bar and an elevated viewing deck. This connects with indoor and outdoor dining areas, as well as a game viewing platform and traditional boma where dinners are served under the stars. There is a second swimming pool situated in the lodge's forested area, surrounded by lush lawns. All Elephant Valley's communal areas have superb views over the lodge's waterhole which sees regular visits from elephant, giraffe, buffalo, honey badgers and even predators like leopard, lion and hyena.

Freshly prepared meals are served in various locations around the lodge, all of which overlook the waterhole. These range from buffet style dishes on the dining deck to three course dinners in the traditional boma, prepared over an open fire and served under a twinkling African night sky.

A waterhole in front of camp lets you simply sit and watch the wildlife each day. The camp offers game drives and boat cruises in Chobe National Park. It’s only an hour away from Victoria falls so day trips can be organised. There is a swimming pool for hot summer days and a boma for outdoor dinners around the fireside. It’s an ideal base to explore Chobe from.

    Our accommodation in both place was excellent. Elephent Valley Lodge had a problem with electricity nearly every night but it had no effect on our comforts – if anything it added to the novelty. Food was very good also.

    Elephant Valley was amazing – I’d stayed in two similar lodges in Kenya but this one took the cake. Such a great feeling there, very relaxing, excellent service. And the driver we had on game drives was amazing – he got us about 4 feet from the elephants and waited when several trucks found a leopard, so that when everyone else left the cat came out and we got the best shots. I honestly thought I could live there..

    Our tent looked out on to a waterhole, there are only about 5 tents that have this view. that was soooooooooooooooooooo cool!! We were able to look at elephants, baboons, impala, warthogs, buffaloo come down and drink in the morning and evenings. What a treat!!!!!
