Lake and Bush Suite
The Lake and Bush Suites comprise of five spacious and breezy double or twin suites and two family suites, each placed on a raised deck. They each feature a writing desk, private lounge, generous mini-bar as well as a tea and coffee station. They all have a tranquil outside seating area that includes a private plunge pool and where you can watch the passing parade of wildlife.
Island Suite
The Private Island Suites are perfect for those visiting on honeymoon or enjoying a romantic getaway. Expect the utmost privacy, luxury and comfort during your stay in these intimate, stylish under-canvas rooms.
Each suite comprises an airy central lounge, dining space, bar, four-poster beds, secluded decks, and outside area which overlooks a sparkling private pool – which is especially inviting on the hot African days. The highlight of the suites is undoubtedly the picturesque views of the island and tranquil waters of Lake Kariba.

There is plenty to do and see when staying at Fothergill Island. Matusadona National Park offers a wide range of activities for both adults and children of all ages to take part in. Enjoy game drives in modified open 4X4 vehicles through park, soaking up the wealth of wildlife knowledge that the guides share, as well as getting the chance to see lions, antelopes, zebra and buffalo roaming the plains.
In addition to game drives, you’ll also get to revel in guided bush walks (ages 16 years and up) and trail walks (ages 5 years and up) through Matusadona, as well as boating safaris and sunset cruises on Lake Kariba. Other activities on offer include fishing, bird watching, stargazing, swimming and archery.
