Situated in the scenic and older part of Franschhoek, which is one of South Africa’s best food and wine centres, the eponymous Franschhoek Boutique Hotel is surrounded by lovely views, craggy mountains and historic buildings. All rooms have Morso contemporary fireplaces, which in winter (about May to August, when light snow can dust the top of Franschhoek’s peaks) create a cosy feel in each room.
