Fundu Lagoon

The 4 nights at Fundu to decompress and sleep in after safari were magical. The diving was world class and Haanes was kind enough to move us to an ocean front room. The food, the staff, everyone and everything at Fundu is amazing. Although I rarely r eturn to far flung properties, I do hope to have the opportunity to revisit Fundu again.

"Fundu Lagoon is probably the most amazing place I have ever been to. We absolutely loved it. The setting, the luxury, waking up with monkeys on your balcony. All of it."

This resort was 'over the top' - almost ridiculously excessive. Our jaws dropped when we were shown our 'room' which, as well as an overly spacious room housing a king-size bed, fridge, living area, and marble-tiled bathroom with double shower, inclu ded an outside deck with plunge pool, a covered lounge area, an upstairs deck with sofas, and a private section of beach! The resort had a beautiful, two-tier pool, a large dining room visited by black-faced monkeys, a second indoor bar, a lounge area, a TV/games room, a boutique and of course the dive shop.

"To finish at Fundhu was perfect and we received another very warm welcome from Hanas (again, I may have spelt it wrong). A very genuinely warm man who is passionate about the area as well as a great people person. A lovely place to unwind."

We are so glad we chose Pemba. The diving was one of the best we've ever encountered. I cannot believe how much fish is there! Fundu Lagoon was hands down the most spectacular place we stayed. I believe we were upgraded to the superior suites. WOW is all I can say. The private two-story lanai, plunge pool and deck were almost overwhelming. The only thing that bothered my husband was the bush babies as they talk all night long and the property is covered with them (but I didn't mind so much)!
