Pemba was the perfect ending, it’s really a special place. The manager and all the staff were so cool and interesting.
The 4 nights at Fundu to decompress and sleep in after safari were magical. The diving was world class and Haanes was kind enough to move us to an ocean front room. The food, the staff, everyone and everything at Fundu is amazing. Although I rarely return to far flung properties, I do hope to have the opportunity to revisit Fundu again.
Fundu Lagoon is probably the most amazing place I have ever been to. We absolutely loved it. The setting, the luxury, waking up with monkeys on your balcony. All of it.

This resort was ‘over the top’ – almost ridiculously excessive. Our jaws dropped when we were shown our ‘room’ which, as well as an overly spacious room housing a king-size bed, fridge, living area, and marble-tiled bathroom with double shower, included an outside deck with plunge pool, a covered lounge area, an upstairs deck with sofas, and a private section of beach! The resort had a beautiful, two-tier pool, a large dining room visited by black-faced monkeys, a second indoor bar, a lounge area, a TV/games room, a boutique and of course the dive shop.
