Deep in the Okavango Delta, overlooking Chief’s Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, lies the exquisite Gunn’s Camp. This vintage safari camp is situated beneath leafy palms and African ebony trees, and provides luxurious comfort in Botswana’s beautiful wilderness, while remaining eco-friendly.

Explore the unique environment of the Delta’s many waterways on motor boat cruises, mokoro excursions and guided game walks. Knowledgeable and friendly guides will share their knowledge about both large and small animals, various bird species and the useful qualities of the indigenous plant-life.

Meru-Style Tent

Gunn’s Camp features six Meru tents on raised platforms with either a twin or double-beds and an en suite bathroom featuring a standalone bath and outdoor shower.

All spacious tents have generated electricity and are comfortably furnished with solid wood and African touches. Each tent has a cosy lounge where guests can relax between activities, as well as a private veranda – the ideal spot to take in these beautiful surrounds.

Gunn’s Camps also offers a romantic honeymoon suite which offers an en suite bathroom, private balcony and elevated position to offer exceptional views.

General Facilities

Unwind in the elevated lounge, dining or boma area, grab an interesting reference book in the library, or take a refreshing dip after a day of activity in the swimming pool.

Enjoy activities with professional and friendly guides, such as mokoro trips, game walks and motor boating, and visiting the popular Chief’s Island where sightings include lion, leopard, elephant, wild dog, hippo and crocodile.

Select from a light breakfast or a cooked breakfast that can be arranged to fit in with your daily activities. A delicious lunch is served at the camp or you can opt for a picnic lunch out in the wilderness. Dinner is either a mouth-watering 3-course meal in the dining room, or a barbeque dinner around the campfire. Honeymooners will enjoy a lovely surprise private breakfast or dinner, served on their own veranda.

    Gunn’s Camp was really great and we loved the idea of being out near the water, in fact overlooking the water and hearing all the animals, especially hippo and elephant through the night. The tents were very large and spacious. The staff were all absolutely wonderful as was the food and the rapport.

    We had a great time at Gunn’s Camp where again the people were fantastic and the managers Anya and Brian were most welcoming – the tent’s weren’t quite ensuite because there was a little space where baboons could come into the bathroom but not the tent!
