Premium Tent
Ilkeliani’s spacious tented suites have been thoughtfully designed to provide all the little luxuries that enhance a safari. Each suite has complete privacy, tucked into a grove of trees with its own private entrance.
Raised on stilts, each offers sweeping views across the Talek River onto the golden plains of the Masai Mara. The suites have spacious wooden decks with detachable canvas sides, and are elegantly adorned with flowing fabrics, comfortable furnishings and subtle lighting. The bathrooms, with views on all sides, include an indoor that opens to the outdoors, and have amenities made specifically for Ilkeliani from indigenous local plants.
General Facilities
The main area of Ilkeliani Camp is a welcoming space with a central dining area, a lounge, and a bar that overlooks the Talek River. You can relax here after a day of safari, enjoying a sundowner while watching wildlife gather by the riverbanks.
The camp offers cultural visits to local Maasai villages, and you can participate in the camp's eco-friendly initiatives, including tree planting and water conservation projects, as part of its commitment to sustainable tourism.

The lodge was great – the staff were all wonderful and the place is amazing post the rebuild after the flood. The “tents” are now raised up about a meter on a platform and are very luxurious – e.g. hardwood floors throughout, king sized bed, double sink, exterior seating area. And the common areas are great – we wandered the site with Eric, the manager, as he gave us a nature walk (he knows his birds well) and we saw the older form of tents and common area and it’s a huge step up.

Ilkeliani was like a dream. We LOVED it. The tents were incredibly glamorous, lovely bathroom inside, and all with the sounds of wild animals and birds as we slept – so cool! It was wonderful to sit out on their observation deck and watch the sunset fade into night with glittering stars and a bright moon as we sipped our South African sparking wine.
