On the doorstep to South Luangwa National Park and overlooking a lagoon that often attracts elephants, Luangwa Safari House is a luxurious 4-bedroom villa that is perfect for families.

Tucked beneath the shady branches of huge trees at the foot of the Chindeni Hills, this castle-like villa has been inspired by the surrounding elements of nature. Ancient tree trunks form the frame of the house, while huge living areas offer magnificent views over the wilderness. Four individually designed en suite bedrooms flow onto floating timber decks, and a sparkling plunge pool offers cool respite from the summer sun.

Dedicated staffers are on hand to cater to your every need. Savour superb cuisine from your private chef and follow your personal tracking team into the wild in search of lions, leopards and buffaloes. You can expect thrilling day and night game drives but also guided walks and even boating during the summer season. At Luangwa Safari House, however, you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your villa to see animals: relax by the pool and watch herds of elephants splash about in the lagoon and birds flit above you in the treetops.

Built around a frame of silvery, weathered leadwood tree trunks, Luangwa Safari House has been designed to reflect its wild setting. On entering through the villa’s massive door, you find a double-volume living space that is open to the wilderness beyond. A beautiful 30-lamp metal chandelier designed by Matt Peacock takes centre stage in the living room and uniquely designed furnishings create a comfortable and stylish ambience.

The villa’s modern and fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with a private chef who will serve delicious dishes whenever and wherever you want.
