Located next to the Kruger National Park in the legendary Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, MalaMala Sable Camp offers a genuinely exclusive and intimate safari experience. Sleeping a maximum of 14 guests, this colonial-style camp is set in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and has some of the best Big 5 game viewing on the continent.

Off-road game drives allow your ranger to track and get close to animals for unbeatable photographic opportunities. The bird watching is also excellent and you can uncover the often-missed smaller inhabitants of this ecosystem during guided walks – with the added possibility of big game encounters along the way.

Luxury Suite

The Mala Mala Sable Camp Luxury Suite is a generously sized en-suite bedroom with a large private deck area that boasts sweeping views of the Sand River and surrounding bushveld.  Cool off in an outside shower and feel part of the natural setting. The luxury suite exudes safari-stay sophistication with carefully curated intricacies of décor and design. The open planned spaciousness and elevated position over the camp exterior guarantees a restful and immersive experience in nature.

General Facilities

The intimate safari bar, swimming pool and large wooden deck are excellent spots from which to admire the views and seek relief from the day’s heat. You can also browse the safari boutique, work out in the small gym or arrange for a massage, all of which are available at the nearby MalaMala main camp.

There is no shortage of modern comforts at MalaMala Sable Camp. You can watch satellite TV or connect to the WiFi in the comfortable library.

Start your day with either a full English or continental breakfast before heading out on a game drive. Return to a buffet lunch in either the dining room or on the large safari deck overlooking the Sand River. Dinner is usually served around a log fire in the reed-enclosed boma, but may be taken in the dining room or on your private veranda. Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches can also be arranged at no additional charge.
