Exclusive Use

The luxury private villa has three spacious and uniquely themed bedrooms each with their own private deck, air conditioning and fans. Each bedroom has a full en suite bathroom with the option of indulging in a foam bath, bush shower or indoor shower.

Adjacent to the three fully-furnished bedrooms is a family room with satellite TV, internet access and a DVD player to keep the youngsters occupied, plus a large sofa which folds out to provide two super-size single beds should they be required.

General Facilities

Beat the heat of the afternoon on the sun loungers around the heated infinity pool that overlooks the tumbling Marico River, or just relax on the extensive wooden veranda surrounded by the sounds of the bush.

Dine around the fire in the open-air boma at night for a uniquely African experience or on cold nights make yourself at home in the comfortable lounge area in front of the crackling log fire with a book from the well-stocked library.

    Now, what can I say about Ocean House and River House. Words simply cannot describe the staff at both venues. Talk about feeling pampered and spoiled. Our every wish and need met by the most competent, hospitable staff.

    River House was the perfect place for our safari adventure. Okker and Gummy were the best ranger and tracker team anyone could ask for. We saw four of the Big Five but we also had an encounter with the rare black rhino. Every game drive was special with wonderful animal viewings made special by Okker and Gummy’s expertise. The house was a wonderful place to go back to after every game drive. The beautiful venues for our meals and the care given to making each meal special was a wonderful surprise to come home to each day. Yes, home. Both houses felt like home while we were there and the staff made sure we had all the privacy we wanted but were nearby if we needed them. This concept really worked well for our family and has spoiled us forever.

    Besides the personal house concept our itinerary was what also made this trip exceptional. The combination of the Ocean House and all that deHoop has to offer and the River House and big game viewing is a perfect match.
