One & Only Cape Town

The One and Only was a fabulous hotel with an unequaled staff, just over the top service.

Excellent service, the breakfast was fantastic, we LOVED the Nobu in the hotel. Great accommodation.

They have a new-ish fresh look – lighter and brighter than before with more plants incorporated throughout communal areas of the hotel. The suites that we viewed were massive and super spacious with incredible views of the harbour and mountain.
It is a large hotel with all the bells and whistles a traveller would look for. The pool area is really lovely and has a resort-style feel to it – there are a number of beautiful day beds spread out around the pool which need to be pre-booked (if clients are keen on spending time at the pool, I would definitely offer them this).

The Cabana rooms are being renovated so we weren’t able to see them but personally really like the idea of them being apart from the large hotel (almost like they are on a separate island).

Most of the suites can be converted to interleading options which creates a lovely, spacious area for a family.

This hotel is ultra-Luxurious and lives up to the One&Only brand. It is perfectly located in the heart of the V&A and offers breath-taking views of the mountain and marina. The kids club with numerous exciting activities, games and waterfront excursions makes this hotel an attractive option for families with young children. It is glamorous, has beautiful rooms and communal areas overlooking the canals. They have a wide variety of rooming options – my favorite being the Island rooms across from the main hotel.

From the breath-taking mountain and marina views, to the assortment of delights at breakfast, the One&Only stands out among the rest, truly living up to its name and reputation.

We enjoyed our stay at the One&Only accommodation in Cape Town. The full package was very good .

The One and Only was very impressive and we were very well looked after . The V&A arranged a bottle of champagne in the room when we arrived which was nice and the manager called to check everything was ok.

The One & Only was a fab choice. Service, room, pool… everything was very perfect. So we will definatley return to that hotel ;))

Like last year, One&Only was perfect.

My son and I had a blast. It was a eye opening experience and we both are counting down the months till return. The One and Only staff was fantastic! From the management, concierge, doormen, and waiters; they all were great. My son absolutely loved the Kids Club! Michelle (work in the club) was great with my son. I really cannot see me staying anywhere else when I visit.

Speaking of Cape Town… We both fell in love with Cape Town. I love that place, it is such a beautiful city. The food was excellent too. I had a Lobster salad from Nobu that was the best salad ever.

As for Cape Town… Breathtaking is the only word that fits! Lets just say, I’m return next year. The One and Only is top notch. My son asked me several times if we could move here. I think this will be our official vacation spot.

The hotel was beautiful and the accommodations superb! We had no complaints about this hotel at all, but I will say that we also were not in it very much! When we checked in they also had us booked in a room with two queen beds, which was disappointing. We told them since we were there for 4 nights we did not want to be in a room with an extra bed. The manager came over and was extremely friendly and actually ended up upgrading us to a suite with a king bed so it all worked out in our favor. We had a corner room which had views of both Table Mountain and the marina. Our favorite thing about the hotel was probably the concierge – he was very helpful in telling us where to go for lunch and dinners. We loved every meal we had in Cape Town! I think The Codfather was our most favorite just because it was such a different experience in that you get to go to the counter and pick out your fresh fish. On our first day we decided to buy tickets for the hop-on, hop-off bus to see the whole city and I would highly recommend that to anyone who is going to Cape Town for the first time. It was a great way to see all the sites and get off where you wanted to explore a certain area. That day we went shopping with street vendors, laid on the beach at Camps Bay, and even made it to the top of Table Mountain!

The journey was absolutely fabulous! The One and Only is amazing.

The One&Only was great with good food and beverages. The room was elegant and relaxing. The location is perfect and only minutes away from the Waterfront – shopping and dining galore.

Cape Town, One & Only – Awesome accommodations we loved it here and all the sites we were able to take in!

The One and Only was lovely. We were so glad to have experienced South Africa for the first time and we will be back before long!

We had some concerns about this hotel in terms of would it be too modern and impersonal. Again I am delighted to say that we were wrong and from the moment we were greeted at the door by Enoch the doorman we felt part of the family. The children were whisked off to see the Children's club (which we had not even thought would be working). The only slight blip was that the large outdoor heated pool was not being heated because the boiler was being maintained (what is it about us and outdoor pools being taken out of commission!) but Nicola, the receptionist that was dealing with us said that we could use the penthouse pool and she arranged to have it heated for the children. The rooms were fantastic with the interleading working very well and the views of Table Mountain absolutely stunning. We actually ate in the restaurant two nights because the food was such good quality and although marginally more expensive than eating out in the Waterfront was worth that premium payment. The children visited the kids club for the odd half hour when we were packing or getting ready for going out and always came back with creative things they had made with the carers such as South African flag fridge magnets or painted t-shirts. We would wholeheartedly recommend the One and Only to families and will return ourselves.

We have you to thank for that, so Lynn and I would like to give you a great big hug from across the Atlantic! As the vacation winded down, we both remarked to each other how we have never had such an intricate vacation go so smoothly. I mean, everything went off without a hitch. To add to it, the hotels were perfect and everyone treated us to honeymoon upgrades or other extra-special favors. We were truly touched by how gracious everyone was.

One&Only have huge rooms filled with everything. Super luxiourious!! Professionalism everywhere you looked. A little bit a Las Vegas luxury feeling to it… constructed beauty. We opted to eat in on our only free night. Reubens and Nobu are 2 fantastic restaurants. Since I have been to Nobu’s original restaurant in Tokyo and met him there I had the distinct feeling that this would probably not be equally good so we choose Reubens. Fantastic food!! A hotel restaurant is almost always a hotel restaurant with a distinct hotel feeling and even though everything was perfect we regretted that we hadn’t visited Reubens in Franschhoek instead.
