Situated on what was for almost 30 years a dry grassy plain in the southern part of the Linyanti Concession, Savuti Camp now finds itself on the banks of the now-flowing Savuti Channel. Always an area of great wildlife sightings, the presence of permanent water has tranformed the area of Savuti, also spelt Savute, into possibly one of the best game-viewing destinations in Southern Africa. Expect large numbers of elephant plus many species of antelope and classic African animals such as giraffe, buffalo and warthog.
The summer zebra migration passes through the area and the bird watching is fantastic but the ace up Savuti Bush Camp's sleeve is the abundance of predators: lion, spotted hyena, cheetah, leopard, wild dog and jackal are all commonly sighted. Activities at include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, close-up game viewing from hides, night drives and walks with an armed guide.
The Bush Buddy programme has been specially designed to appeal to guests from six to 17, with unique activities, gifts and even menus.
