Overview of The Clarendon Bantry Bay

South Africa, Cape Town Coast, Cape Town

Resting at the foot of Lion's Head in the secluded, ocean-facing enclave of Bantry Bay, this luxurious boutique hotel is perfect for discerning travellers seeking a quiet retreat just minutes away from Cape Town's most beautiful beaches and the popular V&A Waterfront.

Savour spectacular Atlantic Ocean views over a breakfast of golden croissants and dark, aromatic coffee while planning your day. Spend the morning soaking up the sun on the award-winning beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, or stroll along the sociable Sea Point Promenade, stopping for people watching at a seaside café. Spend a secluded afternoon beside the hotel's sparkling pool set in a manicured garden or explore the sights and sounds of the city on a day-tour. Capetonians love to salute the setting sun, and the coastline is studded with popular cocktail spots, not the least of which is your suite's private patio or the hotel's gorgeous terrace.

Bantry Bay is a perfect base from which to explore the rest of the Cape Peninsula. A scenic coastal road winds its way south past charming seaside towns and wild beaches to tip of the African continent at Cape Point.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay is all about location, location, location. The breathtaking views hit you square in the face from the moment you enter the front door, and continue in the luxurious, open plan bedrooms. The property is also ideally located to take a walk down to the beachfront promenade or into the bustling streets of Greenpoint.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay has a warm personalised welcome. This wind-sheltered, intimate boutique hotel not only has a stunning view but has also decorated each room with a unique touch. However, not every room has a sea-view so make sure you request a sea-facing room.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay offers a small lunch menu in each room if the guests want to stay in for the day and relax by the pool. It is a very quiet and crowd free hotel, thus perfect for honeymooners and couples.

The Clarendon is a fabulous property. Beautiful suite facing Bantry bay, wonderful staff, and excellent breakfasts. Adele is lovely and even put together a light meal after arriving completely drained Tuesday evening. Really hard to get going in the morning it is so nice. Excellent pick.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay was a wonderful place to spend five days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In particular, we had spectacular days on Table Mountain and Robben Island and a delightful trip to Franschoeck. However, driving in Cape Town is very difficult for Americans (we talked to a number of others who agreed), and we would strongly recommend not renting a car until after one leaves Cape Town, not during. Also, a GPS unit is an absolute necessity to get around.
