Standard Room

Individually designed and elegantly styled, the rooms at The Clarendon Bantry Bay are a sensual and sophisticated living space. Tastefully decorated in contemporary furnishings, rich textures and warm, natural hues. Your spacious en suite bathroom boasts a shower and bathtub, thick bespoke bathrobes and a complimentary range of upscale toiletries.

Claredon Suites

The two opulent Clarendon Suites are the epitome of luxury. Light and airy spaces feature a lounge, dining area and glass doors folding open onto a private patio, overlooking the most magnificent views of the Atlantic shoreline. Comprising of an upstairs and downstairs suite, the former boasts the best views on the entire property while the latter features its own private garden and direct access to the swimming pool.

Superior Room

There are four elegantly styled Superior Rooms, two on the pool level and two with ocean views from the private patio. Like the standard room, each Superior room features a spacious en suite with shower, bathtub and thick bespoke bathrobes.

Neptune Apartment

A mere 30-second walk from the hotel lies the elegant Neptune Apartment. There’s no better place to be after a day of exploring Cape Town. Soak up the sun on your private patio before taking a dip in the pool. Enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, watching the sun set on the horizon. And when the stars begin to shine in the night sky, move inside to curl up on the comfy sofa as the open fire warms the room up and soft, gentle music plays out the Bluetooth sound system.

Superior Suite

A tranquil, lavish seaside haven that overlook striking views of the endless Atlantic Ocean. You’ll find it impossible to drag yourself away from the quiet patio, whiling the day away with a good book as the sun sets on the horizon.

Facilities

The secluded location of this 5-star boutique hotel is perfect for guests who want to combine the delights of Cape Town with a quiet, crowd-free retreat.

Relax and unwind from all the stresses of life with a visit to the hotel's mini-spa or with a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Then, there's no better way to end of your day than with a cold drink at the bate before heading off to the restaurant to enjoy a decadent meal.

Dining

Begin the day with a sumptuous English breakfast on the sunny terrace while you take in the magnificent Atlantic Ocean views. Explore Cape Town's vibrant café and restaurant culture for lunch and dinner – there is something for every palate, from informal tapas bars to some of the world’s best restaurants. Or stay in and indulge in gourmet meal at the hotel's restaurant, where Halaal and Kosher diets are catered for with prior notice.

Be sure you indulge in at least one of The Clarendon's complimentary afternoon high teas during your stay. Camps Bay’s glamorous 'Strip' is just down the road and is home to cocktail bars, seafood restaurants and some of Cape Town’s hottest night spots.

The Clarendon is a fabulous property. Beautiful suite facing Bantry bay, wonderful staff, and excellent breakfasts. Adele is lovely and even put together a light meal after arriving completely drained Tuesday evening. Really hard to get going in the morning it is so nice. Excellent pick.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay was a wonderful place to spend five days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In particular, we had spectacular days on Table Mountain and Robben Island and a delightful trip to Franschoeck. However, driving in Cape Town is very d ifficult for Americans (we talked to a number of others who agreed), and we would strongly recommend not renting a car until after one leaves Cape Town, not during. Also, a GPS unit is an absolute necessity to get around.
