Standard Room

Individually designed and elegantly styled, the rooms at The Clarendon Bantry Bay are a sensual and sophisticated living space. Tastefully decorated in contemporary furnishings, rich textures and warm, natural hues, most of the rooms embrace beautiful ocean or garden views. Your spacious en suite bathroom boasts a shower and bathtub, thick bespoke bathrobes and a complimentary range of upscale toiletries.

There are two Standard Rooms, one with a sea view.

There are also two Clarendon Suites. The upstairs one has arguably the best views from the whole property from its bedroom and living room. The downstairs Clarendon Suite not only has a view from the bedroom but also a small private garden and direct access to the swimming pool.

The elegant penthouse apartment is pure opulence. Its sumptuously furnished living and dining spaces flow effortlessly onto a wide, tiled terrace with incredible views. Marble and glass accents in the spacious en suite bathroom add glamorous appeal while rich, creamy tones echo the surrounding seascapes.

Superior Room

There are four Superior Rooms, two on the pool level and two with ocean views. The three Superior Suites have uninterrupted views and one has a balcony.

The secluded location of this 5-star boutique hotel is perfect for guests who want to combine the delights of Cape Town with a quiet, crowd-free retreat. Your air-conditioned room is tastefully furnished and features a flat-screen satellite TV, mini-bar and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.

Sumptuous breakfasts and gloriously decadent high teas tantalise your taste buds on the glass-framed terrace. During summer’s long, hot afternoons (from October to March) the cool crystal-clear waters of the pool beckon and, if the heat gets too much, settle in the plush lounge with your favourite book.

Facilities for children and a baby-sitting service are available on request, as are massages and beauty treatments, performed in the privacy of your room.

Begin the day with a sumptuous English breakfast on the sunny terrace while you take in the magnificent Atlantic Ocean views. Explore Cape Town's vibrant café and restaurant culture for lunch and dinner – there is something for every palate, from informal tapas bars to some of the world’s best restaurants.

Be sure you indulge in at least one of The Clarendon's complimentary afternoon high teas during your stay. Camps Bay’s glamorous 'Strip' is just down the road and is home to cocktail bars, seafood restaurants and some of Cape Town’s hottest night spots.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay

The Clarendon is a fabulous property. Beautiful suite facing Bantry bay, wonderful staff, and excellent breakfasts. Adele is lovely and even put together a light meal after arriving completely drained Tuesday evening. Really hard to get going in the morning it is so nice. Excellent pick.

The Clarendon Bantry Bay was a wonderful place to spend five days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In particular, we had spectacular days on Table Mountain and Robben Island and a delightful trip to Franschoeck. However, driving in Cape Town is very d ifficult for Americans (we talked to a number of others who agreed), and we would strongly recommend not renting a car until after one leaves Cape Town, not during. Also, a GPS unit is an absolute necessity to get around.

Fresnaye and Bantry Bay Clarendon were also both spectacular! Camps Bay was definitely the place to stay. Emmy at Fresnaye was BY FAR the most helpful and wonderful host we had on our entire trip, she is amazing and the food there was the best breakf ast we had all trip! Bantry Bay was just gorgeous, also with amazing service and the most incredible view!
