Chale Island Resort
Soft, white sand beneath your feet, the calming sounds of the clear blue water lapping at the shore and the lush greenery of the forest exuding a sense of serenity. These are the sensations that await at Chale Island Resort. Being the only single-resort island in Kenya, this perfect barefoot-luxury hideout is ideal for those seeking a private and romantic getaway. The resort affords guests an opulent yet comfortable stay surrounded by coral seas, coastal forestland and mangroves teeming with wildlife.
Nestled amid 15 acres of indigenous ancient forest and bordered by a 10 000-square meter sand bay protected by a vibrant coral reef, The Sands' low-impact initiatives, extravagant buildings and host of unforgettable activities make for a stay that is sure to exceed expectations.
No beach holiday is complete without taking full advantage of having the ocean on your doorstep. Diving The Crab, a world-renowned PADI center, offers snorkelling and diving expeditions in the shallow coral reefs, as well as Catamaran sailing to get a pleasant view of the sunset. Glass-bottom boat excursions provide an alternative perspective on viewing the sea life, while kayaking through the ocean waves are a fun way to inspect the island's mangroves.
Make a Positive Impact Through TravelAsilia empowers crucial wilderness areas in East Africa, benefitting people and nature alike. By making bold, and often pioneering, investments into areas that are ecologically and economically vulnerable, Asilia aims to turn these areas into viable conservation economies, benefitting both the local communities as well as the environment. With the help of guests, who contribute a levy of US$ 5 for each night that they stay at an Asilia property, Asilia is able to make a significant positive impact towards their goal of empowering these areas, including the communities and wildlife that call them home. |
