The hotel was great, especially sitting on the patio seeing the falls splash in the distance.
We went over to see the Victoria Falls Hotel and had dinner on their back patio, overlooking the bridge, mist and rainbows from the Falls (a view I will never forget).
This is such a beautiful hotel. They actually put us up in the Stables Wing, it's a really beautiful wing and our suite was lovely with the large bathroom with shower and huge clawfoot tub. The meals were all served outside on the main patio, Stanley's Terrace. The food was amazing and our dinner that night was one of the best we had on the trip. The wait staff was plentiful and very friendly, wanting to chat with the guests as often as they could.
At Victoria Falls we enjoyed all of our activities. We took a helicopter, a train and walked around the Falls. We also enjoyed the Chobe river cruise. We had lunch at The Victoria Falls Hotel and we must stay there if we ever return. What a lovely and historic place!
We really enjoyed the Victoria Falls Hotel. It was a great way to start the trip, and had the schedule been reversed, we probably would have stayed there an extra night before flying home.
