Shifting across the exquisite expanse of the Serengeti National Park, Wilderness Usawa Serengeti offers an up-close and personal experience of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa; the Great Migration.

Built with sustainability in mind, Wilderness Usawa Serengeti's mobile camp is completely solar-powered, locally sourced and built, and configured to each environment – to leave the lightest footprint possible. A central lounge come dining area and fire pit provide a cosy space to socialise, with luxurious, en-suite rooms extending to the sides. In each location, the site is set up to combine the best elements of a tented experience with all the luxury touches guests have come to expect from Wilderness properties.

As the camp is mobile, guests are treated to unparalleled game viewing of the mega herds as they tackle the iconic Great Migration – from crater highlands to low areas around Lake Victoria or the Mara and Grumeti River crossings. In addition to being immersed in wildest heart of the Serengeti, game drives are a daily occurrence – be it a morning and afternoon excursion, or a full-day excursion complete with a picnic.

Tent

Wilderness Usawa Serengeti is an intimate setup featuring  an intimate number of tents. At the centre of the camp, a social firepit provides the perfect place to relax, unwind, and soak in the surroundings. Blending seamlessly with their savannah surroundings, each setup provides the ultimate immersive experience with 360° mesh sides to bring the out-of-camp environment, in. Each luxury tent is configured to ensure the best view is visible from beds adorned with luxurious linens. Enjoy the privacy of an en-suite bathroom and a space in which every high-end touch has been thought of. For families with children, there is a two-room tent.

General Facilities

Enjoy an array of luxury, modern amenities at Wilderness Usawa Serengeti. While your tent is designed with opulence in mind, its outdoor area also keeps guest comfort and enjoyment in mind, with a shaded seated area featuring padded chairs and a picture-perfect hammock.

Although the site is solar powered, each suite features a charging station found by the headboard, as well as by the writing desk. There is complimentary in-tent Wi-Fi. For those who wish to enjoy some exercise, or even a few simple stretches, a yoga mat is always available.

For those who are interested, a small research library is available in the main guest area, as well as a small spotting scope. To end your day the right way, take a seat around the fire pit in front of the main tent, and witness one of Africa's signature sunsets.
