Set in one of the South Luangwa's prime riverside locations, Chamilandu Camp is an ideal base for a stay in this remote location. The elegant tree-house chalets at the camp offer superb views over the waters of the Luangwa River and Nchindeni Hills.

Begin your day with an early-morning walk in the wilderness, followed by an excellent brunch. Spend some time relaxing in a hammock, or visiting the river-side hide before enjoying a late afternoon game drive. On your drives and walks, you visit the oxbow lagoons where elephants, hippos, and other wildlife can be seen as they come to drink.

"The sightings at Chamilandu were great too. Elephants at our tent, leopards, giraffe, owls etc... It is hard to say I would change it since we had such a good experience."

"Fantastic food, very welcoming staff, excellent accommodation - if we were to pick out a few exceptional things it would be the guides in both Chamilandu and Old Mondoro and the managers at Old Mondoro"
