Overview of Chikoko Tree Camp

Zambia, South Luangwa National Park

Chikoko Tree Camp is a remote and intimate bush camp located in the northern region of South Luangwa National Park. As an exclusive walking safari experience, there are no roads or vehicles in the vicinity, creating a peaceful ambiance soaked in the exclusive sights and sounds of the Zambian wilderness. A hotspot for plains game and predators alike, you'll delight in spotting wild lions and mighty kudu.

Your trekking safari experience is split between morning and afternoon sessions. To beat the heat of the day, you'll embark on longer hikes in the mornings and shorter walks in the afternoons. All safaris are led by expert guides and armed National Parks scouts who will take you along winding animal footpaths steeped in the historical journeys of David Livingstone himself.

The walking areas are free of vehicles and roads, ensuring a true wilderness experience. The area is home to not only a vast number of animals but over 400 bird species as well. The best place for bird watching is on the banks of the Luangwa River as you enjoy a refreshing cocktail and friendly conversation with the Chikoko Tree Camp team and your fellow guests.
