Chobe Game Lodge
Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent accommodation in Botswana's magnificent Chobe National Park. The property's elegant architecture is informed by Moorish design, its high arches and barrel-vault ceilings create a sense of simple grandeur. All 47, air-conditioned rooms overlook the Chobe River, which supports the world's densest population of Kalahari elephants along with large herds of buffalo and zebra.
Spend your days seeking out the Big 5, exploring the land by vehicle and the river by boat – either option promises you exciting wildlife encounters. You may even spot the rare aquatic red lechwe, or the indigenous Chobe bushbuck. The abundant game supports an equally healthy population of predators, including large resident populations of lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah.
Between morning and afternoon game viewing activities, the poolside terrace is a great spot to unwind. Celebrate the sunset with a river cruise or cocktails in the lounge. After dinner, enjoy a game of billiards in the cigar bar, or a night cap from the complimentary mini-bar, sipped on your private balcony overlooking the moonlit river.

We absolutely loved Chobe Game Lodge. The personalized service and organization there was fantastic. I especially loved how they maximized the animal viewing time. We were already on a sunset river cruise 30 minutes after we arrived and were on a sunrise river cruise up until almost an hour before we departed. On the game drives we saw elephants, lions, impalas, giraffes, buffalo, hippos (the hippos were a big tick box for me!) and countless beautiful bird life. The food was great and served at several different venues. One night they hosted a private candlelit dinner for us on a dock over the river. On our last evening, the staff surprised us with an anniversary cake and sang to us at our table. It was like having the Broadway cast of “The Lion King” sing happy anniversary to us.
We had the most amazing and enjoyable time and everything was excellently organised by Go2Africa. I think our ultimate highlight was seeing a successful wild dog hunt right in front of us. Thanks for everything and by talking with other guests and guides, we definitely want to go back and explore even more of Botswana, we’ll be in contact again at some point in the future.
A beautiful lodge set on the banks of Africa’s Chobe River, within the Chobe National Park. You can expect thrilling game viewing, friendly and welcoming service, and wonderful sundowner river cruises.
Absolutely gorgeous. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
