Chobe Savanna Lodge – Again very quiet, but had only just reopened following the floods earlier in the year. Great friendly staff, we both loved the water safaris and say so much from the river. I guess after being shut for some time out of date beer in the mini bar can be excused!
We loved everything about this place. The game drives, the food, the staff – totally awesome place. We did see lots of elephants, hippos, impala, giraffes and crocs.
The accommodations were first class, and the food excellent. The Chobe Savanna Lodge was not that different from the Chobe Game Lodge in that it mainly offered river excursions. The one thing it did offer that was unique was the trip to a local village which we thoroughly enjoyed.
