Dugong Beach Lodge
Per Person Sharing
Set on Mozambique’s tropical coast, Dugong Beach Lodge lies within the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary and offers an idyllic escape. Perfect for romantics and sun-worshippers, the lodge opens out onto the beach and shore where dolphins play in the water.
Snorkelling and scuba diving offer the chance to experience the varied marine life, from leatherback turtles, to the incredible variety of tropical fish, dolphins and the Atlantic dugong – a mysterious creature that is critically endangered.
You can also enjoy windsurfing, kayaking and dhow cruises, to name but a few. After a tranquil sunset cruise, you can return to your suite to relax in private or watch as the resort turns into a romantic haven as evening sets in.

You will find only 12 luxuriously appointed, air-conditioned suites at Dugong, ensuring a peaceful and private stay. Each of these has direct access to the beach via individual walkways. They all have outdoor showers, thatched canopies and private decks – the perfect place to take in a magical sunset.
There are two luxury villas at Dugong, perfect for a family or group of close friends travelling together. Each villa has two bedrooms and an exclusive-use plunge pool.
The tropical bar is set beside the freshwater swimming pool and together they create a wonderful place to spend an afternoon relaxing and cooling off in style, perhaps nibbling on some poolside snacks.
If you feel like spending some time indoors, relax in the lounge or curl up on a sofa with a book. Alternatively, the quaint library offers another cosy place to read and relax, or browse the small boutique for gifts and souvenirs.
The gazebo on the jetty is a perfect setting for sundowners or romantic private dinners close to the beautiful turquoise ocean.
