Overview

The ultimate bush getaway for couples, small groups or families looking for a private safari experience in one of the top game viewing areas in South Africa, Jaci’s Sabi House consists of a locally designed thatch, stone and wood Main Lodge House and separate Guest Cottage with private chef and dedicated safari guide.

Located in the northern Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which shares a long border with the world-famous Kruger National Park, you can expect superb game viewing, retreating after an exciting day on safari to the comfort of your own safari villa. Sleeping up to six people, the house has a beautifully furnished main bedroom with an en suite bathroom, designer kitchen that is the realm of your dedicated cook, a lounge, dining area and outside patio. The interiors are spacious and luxurious, with bespoke décor consisting of local materials, arts and crafts, and bright colour accents. The swimming pool, fire pit and indigenous garden ensure plenty of opportunity to enjoy the invigorating views and unrivalled atmosphere of the great African outdoors. The separate Guest Cottage has two bedrooms with twin beds, perfect for friends or siblings travelling together.

Twice-daily game drives in your own private game vehicle with your personal guide create an unmatched safari experience. The Sabi Sands is especially known for regular and unforgettable leopard sightings but there are also more than 300 recorded bird species, as well as all of the other members of the Big 5 (rhino, elephant, buffalo and lion in addition to leopards). It is not unusual to discover all five of the Big 5 in a single day.

Rooms

Jaci's Sabi House

The main bedroom has spectacular view and designer interiors – bursts of vibrant colours and patterns contrasted with the natural tones of stone and thatch. The linen and finishes are luxurious with modern sophistication meeting traditional earthiness in a masterful way. There is a king-sized bed and the en suite bathroom has a shower and bidet.

Other Rooms

The Guest Cottage echoes the bold yet natural design elements of the main house with two unique rooms in bright prints and patterns. Large double doors open onto the garden and there is a private seating patio area. Two individually furnished rooms contain twin beds and have their own en suite bathroom with a shower.

Facilities

Jaci’s Sabi House comes with a personal chef and dedicated safari guide. The house has a dining area both inside and outside, as well as swimming pool, fire pit and boma (traditional open-air area). There is an indigenous garden with furniture and hammocks to soak up the bush atmosphere. In addition, the fully stocked bar makes provision for relaxing sundowners and fine wines for dinner.

Dining

The private chef at Jaci’s Sabi House will prepare all meals for guests staying at the house. These meals will be served indoors as well as outdoors, on the veranda or in the boma area. Dishes consist of locally sourced ingredients, prepared with flair and authentic South African touches. Afternoon sundowners in the bush as well as tea and snacks are served.
