Situated on 8,900 hectares of remote concession, the camp is located at the convergence of the sweeping waterways of the Okavango Delta and Botswana's northern mopane woodlands. Although in a drier region of the Delta, a majestic display of plains game and predators can be spotted traversing the seasonal grassy floodplains. The camp's location within a less-frequented region of the Delta offers a more intimate wildlife retreat away from bustling hordes of tourists.
Safari-chic canvas suites dot the floodplains, offering a seamless blend of wilderness and comfort. Karangoma is an eco-friendly lodge that is 100% powered by solar energy. Community-mindedness is what truly sets Karangoma apart. By working closely with the indigenous San villages, tagging cattle for local farmers, and supporting a conservation NGO, it is a proud ecotourism establishment.
Karangoma boasts unique seasonal wildlife sightings, with peak game viewing during the winter months from May to October. Avid bird watchers will delight in a dazzling display of birdlife as many avian species migrate for the summer mating season from November to April. The camp offers a variety of engaging wilderness adventures for you to enjoy, either on foot or in an open-air 4×4 game vehicle.

Nestled amidst leadwoods and sausage trees, the tents at Karangoma provide a retreat into Botswana’s unspoiled grassy floodplains. Each features simplistic decor that matches the ambiance of the natural surroundings, complemented by a plush double bed, ample hanging space for your safari gear, and a writing desk for jotting down the day’s wildlife sightings. Floor-to-ceiling views of the plains can be enjoyed from the comfort of your safari-chic private canvas tent.
They also feature a lounge area where you can sit back and enjoy an armchair safari experience. A refreshing indoor and outdoor shower invites you to cleanse in the allure of nature to the sounds of chirping cicadas and braying zebras.
Family Room
The family tent features two connected en-suite rooms: a spacious adult room with lounge area, floor-to-ceiling gauze windows, and indoor/outdoor showers, plus a smaller children’s room with two single beds (a third can be added). Powered entirely by solar, it includes fans, lighting, and charging points—combining comfort, convenience, and sustainability in the heart of the bush.

In addition to a host of exciting outdoor activities such as gliding along on a mokoro, walks along the grasslands, and night or daytime game drives led by expert guides, Karangoma offers practical amenities to enhance your stay.
