"Lake Nakuru Lodge is beautiful with a very nice swimming pool, however the rooms are better in the other 2 lodges"

We stayed at Lake Nakuru Lodge which was a charming place, if a bit like a hotel. Great food, great staff. Great surroundings. Baboons visited the backyard of our room, watching us as we watched them. We did a later afternoon game drive where our dri ver pointed out the differences between the giraffes here and those in the Mara. We watched more rhinos and, just as the drive was about to end, just as dusk was about to surrender to complete darkness, our driver got one of those frantic calls. And off we went. And there, quite far from the road, but remarkably visible, sat a leopard, seemingly aware of its own elusiveness. Beautiful. Absolutely stunning.

Lake Nakuru lodge also exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and the service was great. Our rooms were always readily available and conveniently located. Lake Nakuru has lovely gardens and animals were close by. Both l odges had nightly entertainment. The meals were very good at both lodges - all buffet style with lots of options - a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables (we had 1 vegetarian in the group), often a pasta or omelet chef. Deserts are less successful but that was a good thing. No matter what time we arrived, there was always plenty of selection.
