Overview of Lemala Nanyukie

Tanzania, Serengeti

Lemala Nanyukie is situated just outside the Central Serengeti’s renowned Seronera, an area famous for its big concentrations of lion, cheetah and leopard. In addition, the area lies in the path of the Wildebeest Migration between April and June, and then again from November to January.

The camp sits snuggly among rocky outcrops of the Serengeti's grassy savannah, shaded by ancient acacia trees. Beautifully constructed with a fine balance between contemporary and traditional, Lemala Nanyukie is elegantly furnished with hardwood, luxurious upholstery and lavish chandeliers. The double-volume main area features a comfortable lounge, bar and outdoor viewing deck that leads to a swimming pool – an idyllic spot to unwind with a tipple of your choice while soaking up the sensational Serengeti vistas.

Guests will be thrilled by the area's high-density game viewing on 4×4 drives and nature walks accompanied by expert guides. Sundowner drinks in a gorgeous location are a daily highlight at Lemala Nanyukie and a cherished African tradition that forms an intrinsic part of your safari experience. And if you only take one hot-air balloon ride in your life, do it here in the Serengeti.

We were blown away. It might have been not really knowing what to expect but they far exceeded anything we could have imagined. From the second our guide met us at the airport, the 4 days were so perfect and smooth. The lodge itself is beautiful. The common areas are nice and modern while giving you a feel like your are in the Serengeti. The game drives were great, saw everything we wanted to and they planned with us to make sure we got the experience we wanted. It was probably the first time in my life leaving a place that I was truly sad.

Serengeti was our highlight. A safari experience as we dreamed of it. The camp was amazing, the staff really great. We felt like they opened their home for us. We even opted to miss one game drive to enjoy the camp. We could watch buffalos eating from our terrace – wow! Our guide there was also excellent. We had such a great time during the drives!

In Lemala Nanyukie we found a family in them, they're so sweet and even surprised us with a bush dinner on our last day we were so touched by that.
