General Facilities

Built into the granite boulders of the eastern coast of the island and set directly on the beach is the Island Piazza, a creatively designed seating area, bar and dining deck that flows onto the sparkling white sands of a breathtaking bay.

A sunset bar is tucked away on the western beach of the island. The main swimming pool surrounded by leafy tropical vegetation and the world-class dive centre are close by, while North Island's gym and spa are perched on one of the most peaceful corners of the island with spectacular views. Indulge in a tailor-made holistic treatment while gazing out over the Indian Ocean to the horizon.

The Library is located in the oldest original building on the island. Made from blocks of coral, it houses a wide selection of literature and information about the island and is the location for the fascinating talks that are held each evening.

Each and every meal at North Island Lodge is designed around your tastes, whims and requirements. Plan each meal with the island's chef, or leave it up to him to surprise you with delicious, fresh and imaginative cuisine. The location of each meal is completely flexible and ranges from dining in the privacy of your villa to picnics in secluded coves and sociable beach barbecues. Many of the ingredients for your delicious meals will be freshly harvested from the Indian Ocean and the island's vegetable and herb gardens while some of the world's finest wines have been selected for the lodge's extensive cellar.
