Retreats at Sayari
Per Person Sharing
Serengeti - Kogatende‚ Tanzania
Tucked away in the northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, the lodge offers a well-placed base from which to explore Tanzania's more remote wilderness. Seasonal wildlife sightings include wild cats and antelopes. During their annual migration, you'll have a chance to behold the thunderous rumblings of thousands of wildebeest crossing the Mara River. The skies and trees are filled with birds arriving from Europe and Asia for the drier seasons.
Retreats at Sayari offers two spacious lodges that have been carefully styled by Asilia's master curator, Caline Williams-Wynn. These innocuous canvas and calcrete dwellings blend into the partial desert landscape as if they were rugged hills that had spontaneously formed in this dynamic African terrain. Your stay is expertly catered to by a private chef and dedicated host who will make you feel like royalty as they tend to your unique culinary tastes and wilderness itinerary ambitions.
Retreats at Sayari is ideal for either couples or families seeking a romantic or connected safari experience away from hordes of tourists. The staff at pride themselves on going the extra mile for their guests, whether by arranging once-in-a-lifetime hot-air balloon safaris through their specialist service providers or in-house sundowner game drives.

Each retreat at Sayari offers two cosy bedrooms, with either a comfortable king-sized bed for a romantic couple’s nook or twin beds with an additional sleeper couch for the little ones. A mid-tone wood finish complements calming pops of yellow and cream that radiate a warm and gentle ambiance. A protective mosquito net cascades over the beds, with cooling wall fans for a comfortable night’s rest.
Between the two bedrooms is a spacious living room boasting cosy couches that face the wilderness, opening out to a fire pit for late-night safari storytelling over hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. Each room has en-suite bathrooms, with double vanities housing a glass-fronted rain shower. A private outdoor bathtub invites a relaxing midday soak.
Friendly staff are available to curate a personalised itinerary so you can optimise your game-viewing experience, from walking safaris to hot-air ballooning. The main area combines a rejuvenating spa and swimming pool for a relaxing massage or a refreshing afternoon dip. A complimentary laundry service will keep your safari attire clean for the following day, while Wi-Fi will keep you connected throughout your stay.
