All the tents are beautifully decorated in a classic African style and have decadent bathtubs and indoor and outdoor showers. Four of the tents can be made available as a 'stand-alone' camp on an exclusive-use basis for up to 12 people (sleeper couches for one will be added to each tent). They have their own bar, lounge, dining area, swimming pool, shop and kitchen, making them ideal for larger parties travelling together. Each tent also has its own private plunge pool.

The Elephant Camp makes use of solar water heaters and grey water systems were possible.

Elephant Camp - very nice. The room was really lovely. We had the furthest away room with a viewing deck which was great. We also loved the plunge pool. The food was good and the staff were great. We met some people there and had drinks and chats mos t nights so that was really nice - the staff encouraged mingling which we liked. And the tour of the falls and the lunch was really good.

"The Elephant Camp exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed the trip."

It was my favorite, as far as accommodations went. Just gorgeous. The furnishings, the outdoor shower, the private pool and porch...incredible. What I loved was that I could watch the sunrise from my bed, as the bed faced the sliding glass doors so I didn't even have to move to snap a pic. But, since I was up, I made some coffee and sat on the porch watching the sun coming up and seeing the spray of Victoria Falls in the distance. The food was amazing. As soon as I arrived, I got a chance to meet the elephants. So before I even got to the room, I was petting elephants, getting my picture taken and within an hour, met Sylvester the Cheetah, pet him, got my pic taken with him and then went out on a walking safari. With the cheetah. Who I walked. The next day I did the elephant backed safari which was AMAZING. Everything was so seamless and professional. The staff at the Elephant Camp was wonderful. Absolutely no complaints. The Falls were amazing. Our guide was awesome; gave us plenty of info and time to walk around and take pics and shop. Seeing the Falls was truly spectacular.

This was the perfect way to start our trip - although I imagine it is also a lovely way to end a trip too! The place is beautiful. Our room was luxurious. We loved interacting with Sylvester - an experience you can't get anywhere else. One of the gui des took us and 2 other guests on a spontaneous walk to see the gorge, which was awesome. The food was really delicious - especially the lunches.

Elephant camp was a great place to stay during our visit to Victoria Falls. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were immaculate. It was nice to enjoy some modern conveniences like fast internet and air conditioning after being in such remote c amps in Botswana. Overall the food was decent, although we did struggle with one of the dinners. The breakfasts were excellent. We found it really easy to organise activities through Elephant camp (we chose a helicopter ride, a guided walk and a fishing charter) and the drivers were always ready on time to take us to or pick us up from activities.

"Elephant camp was beautiful and lovely to be near Victoria Falls but not in the main town. We did the elephant ride which was great."

The Elephant Camp was beautiful. As I had seen pictures of the camp prior to our arrival, it was exactly what I expected. The only downside which I know is unavoidable are the insects!!!! I could have used less bugs during those three days but esp ecially on our first night at dinner when very large beetle like insects were numerous. Kenya had no bugs, Zimbabwe made up for it! The quantity of food at the Elephant Camp was more reasonable. Lunch was lighter than the lunch at Little Governors -- thank goodness! We enjoyed spending time with Sylvester the cheetah ambassador. I wish the time spent with the elephants was longer. We had a few minutes to feed them after their return from giving rides to other visitors. Jonathan has quite the sense of humor as well. All of the staff at the Elephant Camp was great.

"The Elephant Camp was a lot of fun. While there, we went on an elephant-back safari, had a chance to meet and pet the resident cheetah (Sylvester)"

The Elephant Camp in Victoria Falls was made special by their cheetah ambassador, Sylvester. We were able to do a walking safari with him the morning we left, and that was another highlight for us. Chris did bungee jumping there too! It was nice to h ave the private deck/plunge pool as Vic Falls was the one place we allowed ourselves a day to just be lazy and plan nothing. I can't say we would include Victoria Falls on our next trip to Africa, but it was great for a short amount of time and it was interesting to see a new country.

Elephant Camp in Zimbabwe was a really great time. Beautiful and resting place, kind and helpful staff and management, many activities at our disposal and the falls. We really enjoyed this place and would appreciate to come back again in a few years. We made 3 activities during our stay : Helicopter upon the falls, walking with lions and elephant back safari and, of course, walking along the falls. All activities organized by the Elephant camp staff. Honestly, Elephant camp was the place with the best services we encountered in Africa.

The camp is hidden in a land of contrasts, characterised by its elevation over the plains with a view of the smoke of the Falls in t he distance and the spectacular gorges. The view and location was only the beginning of our pleasant surprises: we were greeted by a very friendly welcome by Jonathan the Manager, Moses, Hilda, Prosper and other members of the staff. We were shown around the elegant lounges and terraces, state of the art facilities, then accompanied to our accommodation: from the outside it looked like a tent but it was pure opulence .The elegant and spacious suite featured elegant inspired décor with all facilities including air conditioning, comfortable sitting room with wide glass window and doors with private viewing, looking onto the magical Victoria Falls gorges. Private deck and covered deck are nicely furnished with table chairs and loungers by the private plunge pool. The bathroom with both indoor and open air shower, has an exotic tub with a view over the valley below. The visit to the elephants and Sylvester the Cheetah complemented our stay . Reasons we picked the Elephant Camp: - Intimate, close to the Falls but not “commercial”. Facilities and amenities. High Level of comfort and services. We found personnel to be extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was nice and well presented. Our expectations were exceeded. We just loved the charm and ambience. Would definitely return and recommend it.

"Elephant Camp was also excellent, and Victoria falls was beautiful. The food and service as elephant camp was also above average. If staying at Elephant Camp or near Vic falls I would recommend other travelers visit the ALERT lion rehab program."

I’m so glad you recommended Elephant Camp. Loved the tent we stayed in, everyone was great and we went on the walk with Sylvester, which was truly a highlight of the trip. He is so beautiful and his caretakers are great. Also took a helicopter rid e over the Falls which at this time of year was the best way to see it and feel the true majestic beauty of the falls.

"We really enjoyed all hotels especially Elephant Plains Game Lodge, game viewing etc. I would not change anything, it was organized well so thank you for that. Everyone, my husband and my sister absolutely loved it."

Elephant Camp was the surprise of our vacation. Really didn't know what to expect, but this was a great recommendation you made. Tents were very clean and spacious. Being the tail-end of our trip, we found it to be very relaxing. We would have en joyed an additional night there. We had time to relax in the pool at our tent and just sit back on the deck. Would highly recommend to all your clients. No game viewing to speak of from the deck, but we enjoyed just relaxing. Manager 'Jonathan' was great, we enjoyed our conversations with him. Added an excursion to the 'Walk with the Lions', which I would highly recommend to anyone.

Elephant Camp: Room 3 was nice. The tent it self was fantastic. It was on the south side of the main area. I think the northern rooms might have had a better view. The condition of the facility was great and the food was perfect. Jonathan was ever pr esent and handled all our needs and wants.

Elephant Camp - WOW. We are so pleased that we added that onto our trip. The resort was wonderful in every way. The staff was incredible, and the entire experience felt like we were home, rather than at a hotel. I would recommend Elephant Camp to a nyone with absolutely no hesitation.
