Ultra Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Encounter & Kenya Safari
East Africa offers a wealth of extraordinary experiences, from trekking through misty forests in search of mountain gorillas to witnessing the vast savannahs teeming with wildlife. This ultra-luxury itinerary takes you through Rwanda and Kenya in style, flying seamlessly between destinations while immersing you in the region's most iconic landscapes and rare wildlife encounters. Though the accommodations are exceptional, it's the people you'll meet and the moments you'll share that will stay with you long after the journey ends.
The lush, green hills of Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park start you off where you'll track endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Kenya follows with its renowned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Here, you'll have the opportunity to spot rare species like Grevy's zebra and black rhino while also exploring hidden gems like the Ngare Ndare Forest canopy walkway and local cultural communities.
Conclude your journey in the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the Big Five and some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing on Earth. Whether floating over the plains in a hot-air balloon or relaxing with a sunset drink, each day brings new and unforgettable experiences. Throughout your trip, every detail is carefully curated to ensure exceptional luxury and meaningful, authentic encounters.
When you book this safari Go2Africa will donate $5 to the Wildlife Tourism College of Maasai Mara to support the annual sponsorship of two students.
Arrive in Rwanda's capital, Kigali, at Kigali International Airport, where a driver will be waiting to welcome you. This will be your guide and vehicle for the duration of your stay in Rwanda. The drive to your accommodation takes approximately three hours—a scenic journey through rolling green hills, farmlands, and rural villages showcasing the country's natural beauty.
Depending on your arrival time, your guide may suggest a brief city tour, offering a glimpse into Kigali's vibrant culture and history. A visit to the Genocide Memorial, while emotionally profound, provides invaluable insight into Rwanda's past and the nation's remarkable journey of recovery and resilience.
Your home for the next three nights is a luxurious lodge on the edge of Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, staff will warmly welcome you and give you a brief tour before you settle into your elegant suite. The property, once farmland, has been carefully restored to its natural mountain landscape, offering uninterrupted views of the Sabyinyo, Gahinga, and Muhabura volcanoes. This serene setting is the perfect base for your gorilla trekking adventure.
On the morning of day two, set off on a thrilling gorilla trek. Following a safety briefing, venture into the misty rainforest to track a habituated gorilla family. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. Day three brings a fresh adventure—trekking through the forest in search of the elusive golden monkeys, a rare and beautiful primate found only in this region.
