About Me

I am Cape Town born and bred but moved to the Garden Route a few years ago. I absolutely love Cape Town but do brag that in my opinion the Garden Route is more beautiful and has many child friendly activities.

I have spent many family holidays extensively travelling throughout South Africa. From the West Coast and the Cederberg Mountains to the Whale Coast and up the Garden Route to the Eastern Cape. I’ve had numerous holidays on safari including The Addo Elephant Park in The Eastern Cape, safari parks in Kwa Zulu Natal to the Big 5 rich area of the Kruger National Park.

I adore Africa and have a passion specifically for safaris. Once you have been on safari, your romance with Africa will begin and you will always want to return over and over.

Where I have travelled

I have travelled throughout South Africa, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. I have also worked for game lodges within the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands and know this area extremely well.

My favourite travel moment

There are so many! Every time you travel in Africa, you experience something incredible! My best is probably witnessing the incredibly unusual all male coalition of 6 lions in the Sabi Sands as per the movie Blood Brothers. I am also a big fan of elephants and will never forget sitting at Singita Sweni Lodge, sipping on my cocktail when down came a herd of 50 strong elephant to enjoy their afternoon splash in the river – right in front of me!

What I love about Africa

I am absolutely in love with Africa. From the amazing diverse people to the breath-taking scenery and of course, our unique flora and fauna.

My best African travel advice

Always have your camera ready! You never know when you may get one amazing shot! With that being said, don’t always hide behind your camera. You are about to experience the exceptional – stop and take it all in. Breath the fresh air and let Africa restore your soul.
