Mozambique has gained a reputation for its incredible seafood. After dinner at the Golfinho Restaurant you will see that this reputation is well founded – with buffets piled high with huge prawns, crayfish, calamari and grilled fish.
Breakfast is also a real treat with a wide selection of delicious options ranging from tropical fruit to a full English breakfast made to order.
For lunch you can wander down to Club Naval, which is situated at the activities centre next to a swimming pool and water feature. This à la carte restaurant overlooks the bay, and has an informal feel with light meals including a delicious selection of salads.
Private dining can also be arranged – there’s nothing quite as romantic as dinner for two set out on a tropical beach.
A very popular choice for families, this resort with its safe swimming waters and endless activities will keep even the busiest child happy. Our tip would be to head up to the spa at sunset for icy cold bubbles and the most magnificent sunsets. Diving and snorkelling here is fantastic and if you are lucky you may even encounter the rare dugong on one of your marine excursions!

Anantara was gorgeous. It’s hard to give it 5 out of 5 stars but it’s a solid 4.5. They are lovely, and so accommodating! Tiny details are what keep it from a perfect 5 stars. The spa was incredible. We went a few times during our visit and it did not disappoint. The excursion to Paradise Island was a great recommendation. We LOVED it. Awesome snorkeling. They put flowers in our room and spelled out a birthday message to Josh with flora. Again, they are lovely and warm and we had a great time.
We did get the horseback riding in on Bazaruto and had a great time – thank you! We also went to Pansy Island and never wanted to leave. It was definitely one of the highlights. The order of how you arranged things was perfect. Anantara was absolutely perfect. We loved everything and were so happy to have the upgraded villa and pool.
We loved Anantara. The resort felt exclusive, very peaceful and quiet.
We had the most amazing time at Anantara in Bazaruto. There were special surprises everywhere for us and we were spoilt to the point where we were almost considering not going home!
