"We were extremely lucky at Khwai River Lodge to see two leopards that had been chased up a tree by a pack of wild dogs. After about 20 minutes, they came back down and passed about 1 metre from my side of the open-sided safari vehicle. Was amazing."

Eagle Island - managers of this camp deserve a special mention - they run this camp like clockwork. Everything was so slick and professional , but very friendly and personal. Attention to detail and pleasing their guests was obviously a number one pr iority. Every time we came back from an outing we were met by 1 or 2 staff with cold flannels and a huge welcome home. The food here was fantastic. A fabulous camp.

"The best parts of our trip was Eagle Island Camp, everything about it."

It was interesting to see the Okavanga Delta. The delta was flooded which made for a real interesting habitat. However, there were few animals, and the safari routines were not that interesting. The camp was very comfortable, with good food, and a great bar for sundowners (written up by the New York Times as one of the top ten most romantic bars!). While we were there, an elephant got into the camp which made it interesting to move between our tent and the lodge - we enjoyed that.

A truly magical place - we had tent 12 which is the furthest from the main camp and were able to relax in the hammock on the deck watching the fish eagles come and go from their nests on the island opposite us. The tents, food, drink and main lodge w ere all excellent.

"It was good. A great place to end. They don't keep you as busy as Mala Mala and it would NOT be a good place to start off but fine place to end. It is luxurious for sure."
