Jaci's Private Lodge
Per Person Sharing
Jaci’s Private Lodge is a privately owned lodge situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. The lodge is built under a grove of tamboti trees on the edge of the Marico River.
Between early morning and evening game drives, relax in the spacious lounge area or beside the swimming pool which offers excellent views of the river or venture down to the Terrapin Hide to photograph these and other creatures going about their lives.
Basking under a very temperate climate, Jaci’s Safari Lodge offers two enticing outdoor activities: you can work off the delicious meals on thrilling walking safaris and then fall asleep on one of the daybeds on your deck, or take a dip in the pool and watch as elephants amble past grazing on the riverene greenery as they go.
This is a fantastic lodge for those travelling with children, and the wide selection of villas and suites are ideal for families or small groups.

Everything about Jaci’s Lodge was fantastic. The staff were incredible – they were all extremely warm, welcoming and professional. The guides were brilliant and made each safari drive (of which we did all 10!) different and exciting. The food was exceptional, and the lodges were perfect. We would thoroughly recommend a stay there for any other multigenerational group like ours.
Jaci's Safari Lodge is the perfect option for families and couples. There are certain rooms that offer their own star bed on the roof that people can chose to use instead of the inside bed. Most of the rooms are tent-like and the bedrooms and bathrooms are open-planned, so make sure you request a room with a toilet door if that is what guests would prefer. The staff are super friendly with experienced game rangers.
Jaci’s Lodge, We were very pleased with both our accommodation and the staff at Jaci’s. We had an amazing guide and the meals were delicious. Our kids went on all the drives with us.The Nare suite was lovely and really almost perfect for us.
Jaci’s Lodge – Welcome – excellent, all staff introduced themselves and were genuinely welcoming, felt as if we were joining a house party. Accommodation – amazing, warm and comfortable, a lot of attention to detail (first aid box in bathroom), hot water bottles and heated blanket were turned on for us each night. Saw plenty of wild life right from the veranda. Lodge – loved sitting around the camp fire chatting to other guests. Food – plentiful of high standard and well presented and served, enjoyed the variety of eating environments especially the outdoors ones. Ranger / Game drives – plenty of information, organised a day drive for us- lunch in the bush quite an experience, saw wide variety of animals and birds, our daughters were kept interested and involved. Blankets supplied for warmth. Absolute gem of a place would love to return.
