Kapama Southern Camp

The Kapama was a nice lodge, much more luxurious than what I was expecting. Overall, a fine experience.

This luxurious resort including the service, staff, food and suite you had booked for us stood out as the best thing for us.

We all had a fabulous time at Kapama. We can't thank you enough. We loved our rooms, the wonderful staff and we had an incredibly successful safari! I would definitely go back there and recommend it to other people. We saw the Big 5 and more. Even the guide and tracker were amazed at what we all saw in the space of three days. We loved Kapama. Thank you so much for suggesting we go there for our safari. I think my Instagram says it all. I cannot thank you enough for pulling together an experience of a lifetime! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Whilst I was a slightly nervous traveler, my fears quickly went away upon realizing what a truly wonderful country South Africa is and the brilliant organisation that had gone into the fantastic and safe accommodation along with the seamless transfers.

Our accommodation was extraordinary. The room was awesome. We were all delighted. We enjoyed the walk on elephants! The safaris were great.

What I like about this lodge is that it has something for everyone, whether you are travelling together as a family, experiencing the bush as an independent traveller or enjoying a romantic getaway. The ranger and tracker team will help you to experience wildlife at its best.

Kapama Southern Camp was by far our favorite. They had newly built half of their facilities and they were very luxurious and incredibly modern. Everyone there was very sweet and always trying to make our stay as special as possible. We truly want to go back to South Africa again and most certainly want to return to Kapama Southern Camp.

Kapama’s pre-breakfast is the best with deli meats and cheese. The pastry chef at Kapama was excellent. There was always plenty of food at Kapama. Kapama had a good wine list, the others generally a white and red with the varietal varying). All accommodations were pretty much as pictured and nice. Kapama was great, they picked us up at the airport, the room was very nice and bug free. Check in was smooth. Met with the welcome drink, then we started our first Safari just an hour and a half after we arrived which was wonderful. 2 Safaris a day, included in the price, and these are the main reasons that you want to go there! In the winter one is at 6:30 a.m. and one at 4 p.m, 3 hours each. We took a trip to the Cheetah project at the Endangered Species Facility Kapama.

The trip was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay at the Kapama camp and safari adventures. The room was absolutely wonderful and it met our needs totally. Lots of food and the people were very nice and friendly. The safari was absolutely the best. They made us feel very welcome.

Our trip to Kapama, Southern Camp, was truly exceptional. For you to choose Kapama and Hoedspruit airport for us was inspirational. We could not believe when we were picked up at Hoedspruit in the Safari vehicle and within 5 minutes we were in the reserve and virtually on a mini safari drive . In that 25mins it took to transfer from the airport to Kapama, Southern Camp Lodge we saw so many animals – all we could say was “wow”
Southern Camp gave us that true African feeling and the Staff were just wonderful. They could not do enough for us and were on hand to meet all our needs. A truly wonderful experience that we will never forget.

We got there absolutely excited with the idea of our new experience, our first Safari. Entering the game reserve in our car we run across a group of lions…. and the adventure hadn’t been commenced! The room was really beautiful. The place is outstanding: the pool, the common spaces absolutely perfect: luxurious but not pretentious. The choices of food were amazing: combining always some African specialties with other more international dishes. We were spoilt with the food… they served a tea with light refreshments before the game viewing in the afternoon etc.

A wonderful place to stay in. The hotel is very nice and the service was unbelievably above our expectations. They care about every detail of their guests’s stay and everybody who works there is well prepared and make all the efforts to make the guest feel unique and special. We really loved the hotel and will recommend to everyone that wants to take a safari. Just one example of the outstanding service was on the last evening, when they prepared a surprise dinner outside, in a lovely place with a campfire. Everything was perfectly organized and at the end, all the restaurant staff, including the waiters, the maîtres and the cookers sang and dance African songs for all the guests. It was so beautiful that every time Gracila remembers this moment, she cries. Regarding to the room, it was very nice and comfort. All the services provided by the hotel were amazing and the food was fantastic. The Safari games were amazing and very much fun. We were able to see” the big 5” and our ranger (Bethuel) was very very good in explaining all the wild life facts.
