Relax on the shores of a classic Rift Valley lake at Lake Elementeita Serena Camp. Bird watchers will enjoy the sight of thousands of flamingos and pelicans feeding in the lake’s shallow waters but this spectacular region is home to a wide range of wildlife. Your days will be filled with exciting opportunities to look for big game on drives in the Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy and nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. And thanks to Lake Elementeita Serena Camp’s private location, you’ll get to go on night drives as well.

Each lake-facing tent at Lake Elementeita Serena Camp has been designed to take you back to a bygone era of travel. Luxuriously furnished, the suites feature large double beds with draped canopy netting for a sense of seclusion and romance while a private veranda gives you the chance to sit back and soak up the views.

General Facilities

Between exploring the conservancy by game drive, horseback or on foot, the camp provides a peaceful habitat for rest and relaxation. Take a leisurely dip in the sparkling pool or soak up some sun on the designer sun loungers. Indulge your senses in the spa or simply settle into the inviting lounge with a good book, binoculars for passing birdlife and a camera to catch the monkeys at play. High tea is served promptly at 4pm, just in time to give you sustenance for a late afternoon game drive or nature walk.

The camp has 24-hour power supply, Wi-Fi throughout and wonderfully accommodating staff – you may find it difficult to leave!

Meals at Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp are served in the beautiful central restaurant in the main tent. Breakfast is a combination of buffet and set menu, while lunch and dinner are 3- to 4-course set menus with delicious options for both carnivores and vegetarians.  During the day, monkeys play rough-and-tumble games on the lawn overlooked by the dining area entertaining you whenever your attention wanders from the magical vista.
