Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
Located on the rim of the dramatic and breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the lodge offers magnificent views over the world's largest intact and unflooded caldera. The crater is a place of rare natural wonders, from its miraculous terrain to the abundant fauna and flora it supports, and it is more than worthy of its status as a World Heritage Site.
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge boasts architecture as impressive as its setting. While the structural style evokes a traditional Maasai mud-and-stick manyatta (homestead), the interiors and finishes are pure opulence. Chandelier-lit bathrooms, personal butler service and very fine dining give Ngorongoro Crater Lodge a richly deserved reputation for excellence.
The encircled grasslands of the crater floor offer excellent game viewing year-round with 25 000 large mammals, including black rhino, zebra and eland, and Africa's densest population of lion. The rainforests of the crater walls are home to elephant, buffalo, leopard and cheetah, making for spectacular game viewing.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge serves delicious Pan-African cuisine in its dramatic, domed dining room. This communal area is truly sumptuous with its roaring fireplace, tables laden with crystal and silverware, and massive wooden serving platters. Meals may also be taken on the open-air dining deck to savour its fantastic views. On days spent game viewing in the crater, the kitchen packs a lovely picnic luncheon to be enjoyed in the bush.
Fantastic and very unsual Lodge perched high on the crater rim with incedible views. This Lodge really has it all - incredible rooms, great service and fantastic food! Highly recommmended.

We loved the Ngorongoro Lodge for its uniqueness. What a fabulous place! Our guide, Charles, even found a way with our tight schedule to take me to a reputable Tanzanite dealer for a beautiful keepsake.
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge was probably the highlight of our trip. The level of detail and care they put in was incredible, it just felt like a dream.
Gorgeous property on the rim, beautiful romantic room. Great massage with
bluetooth music, bubble bath after safari, very attentive service, dinners for two. The staff made you feel so special and well taken care of. Kemu—excellent guide in the crater, butler KK, zebras on site, local tribe experience was worth doing.
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge (5 Star rating): Truly the 8th Wonder of the World looking out over the caldera. Seen it on TV lots of times but it will take your breath away when you look at it from the lookout location. Lots to see here with lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo, hyenas and all the other usual suspects roaming around.
Came back from a game drive and staff had drawn a bath for me with rose petals about 3 inches long in the shape of a heart outside the tub – WHAT? The food was awesome and you couldn't ask for more. A true 5-star experience.
Outstanding, of course. Lovely setting. Best facility (in terms of how nice the rooms were) we stayed at. Food was good. They did a little congratulatory dessert for Ashley in honor of her high school graduation that included having the whole staff come in to sing. It was very special.
The crater game drive was exceptional. We saw the Big 5 all in one day (rhino wasn't close, but we did see two). Finished with a great leopard sighting as we started our drive out. Came upon a kill and saw the transition from lions to hyenas feeding. Got really close to lions. Ayoub did a great job getting us around the crater to be in the right place at the right time.
