Nxai Pan Camp is situated in the widlife-rich Nxai Pan National Park, an off-the-beaten-track Kalahari reserve encompassing golden grasslands, seasonal pans and acacia woodland as well as the famous 'Baines' Baobabs', a group of these enormous trees that are thought to be at least a thousand years old. Nxai Pan is home to a unique mix of savannah and desert species as well as large summer migrating herds of elephant and zebra. It is also an excellent destination for predators - lion, cheetah, brown hyena and jackal are often seen - and the summer bird watching is sensational from about November to April.
Explore Nxai Pan's grasslands on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the plentiful wildlife that the area is known for. Take a historical tour of the nearby Baines' Baobabs as well as exciting guided nature walks to discover the Kalahari close up. When you are not out adventuring, relax beside the swimming pool, spend some time reading in the lounge area, or grab a lounger and watch animals at the camp's permanent waterhole.
