Ongava Tented Camp is located in a 30 000-hectare private reserve that shares a boundary with Etosha National Park, Namibia's premier wildlife destination. Situated in hill country in the centre of the reserve, the lodge is built out of rock, thatch and canvas and overlooks a waterhole that is floodlit at night.
Activities at Ongava Tented Camp revolve around professionally guided game drives in an open 4X4 in the Ongava Reserve - home to both black and white rhino - as well as the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where classic African mammals such as elephant, giraffe and zebra plus many antelope species are often seen in large numbers. It is also a region famous for its predators - lion and cheetah are relatively common - and you can also experience the thrill of night drives and nature walks in the private reserve, activities not allowed within Etosha itself.
As a guest of Ongava Tented Camp, you have access to the photographic hide at its sister property, Ongava Lodge.
