Overview

Located on an island at the heart of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana, Pom Pom Camp is the ideal base from which to explore the delta. With beautiful views over a hippo-filled lagoon, this long-established camp offers a range of Okavango Delta activities.

Guests can explore the area on land with game drives and guided bush walks, or on water in a mokoro. Glide through the delta’s intricate maze of waterways in this traditional dugout canoe as an experienced guide points out some of the region’s fantastic birdlife. Then seek out the Big 5 as an expert tracker leads you on a game drive.

Children are especially welcome at Pom Pom, and the staff accommodate them with small extras like kids' safari packs and flexible mealtimes.

The ranger at Pom Pom was great; even though the vegetation was dense, he managed to find a leopard for us which we followed through the bush. An unforgettable experience!

The highlight was Botswana. The Okavango Delta was so beautiful. Pom Pom Camp is a great place, the tents were comfy, the outdoor shower, the proximity to the water and wildlife, the quiet, the staff was wonderful (particularly Linda and Tiny), and s urprisingly it was the most accomodating place, dietary-requirements-wise. They even had soy milk for me! The only downside was the light aircraft, because I get air sick, but overall it was absolutely wonderful.

Pom Pom was another great camp and we were made to feel extremely welcome. We ate communally and the safari drives were great. We saw leopard and rather angry buffalo. Once again the staff were very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The ac commodation here was more basic but in reality very comfortable.

We were thrilled with our incredible African experience. You were really listening - which ensured that all of us were able to enjoy our individual vacation dreams. Waterberry Lodge and Pom Pom Camp exceeded expectations. All transfers and charter flights went off flawlessly.

"Your suggestion of Pom Pom was spot on. The rooms were lovely the staff first class and the manager spoke very highly of you personally and collectively in Go2Africa."

"Our favourite accomodation was Pom Pom Camp, although the other 2 were lovely as well (and the air conditioning was a nice break!)"

A great camp. The managers Andre and Kim were very welcoming and run a tight ship, although the other staff - particularly the guides - were as good as anywhere in Africa. The game was plentiful, although it was a slight disappointment that there wer e not more predators in the area. Just the right amount of luxury and seclusion: hearing elephants munching outside your tent at night is a great feeling.

"It was great and the place was amazing. It was in the middle of nowhere and the place was gorgeous. We had amazing food and met great people. Our guide Shakes in Pom Pom was great and I think he made a new friend in Paul!"
