Overview

Botswana is a tremendously diverse destination, with a kaleidoscope of landscapes and ecosystems. This trip combines three iconic landscapes in one journey: the vast Makgadikgadi, the lush waterways of the Okavango Delta, and the abundant wildlife of Chobe and Chobe River.

Begin with Leroo La Tau, nestled on the tall banks of the Boteti River and overlooking the Makgadikgadi National Park beyond that. This region is famous for seasonal zebra and wildebeest migrations and its unique desert eco-system, forming part of the Kalahari Basin. Next is the renowned and enchanting Okavango Delta. Camp Okavango, a classic Okavango Delta camp, offers a year-round water wilderness experience.

Conclude your journey in the Chobe region, staying at Chobe Game Lodge. Positioned on the banks of the Chobe River, expect spectacular wildlife viewing, including the largest concentration of elephants in Africa during the dry season.

This Botswana experience combines wildlife encounters with stunning landscapes and water activities, incomparable to anywhere else in Africa. Whether travelling with your loved one, your family or friends, this safari promises to be unforgettable.

Itinerary

Day to day

On arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met and assisted through the check-in process for your small plane transfer to your first stop, Leroo La Tau. Nestled beside Botswana’s Boteti River with a backdrop of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, Leroo La Tau provides a captivating wildlife experience. The region is known for seasonal zebra and wildebeest gatherings during the migration months between November and May, as well as year-round sightings of predators.

You have two nights here and on your full day you will have the opportunity of heading into the National Park for a guided game drive. Depending on the day, lunch will either be out in the reserve or back at camp. Take some time after lunch to relax, cool off in the pool and catch a quick snooze before high tea and your afternoon activities. Your day ends with a memorable sundowner as the sun sets. Evenings at the camp feature fireside storytelling and convivial dinners. After a rewarding day, retire to your comfortable tent, serenaded by the Kalahari night sounds.
