Kick off with two days in Cape Town and pack in beaches, mountains and vineyards plus fine food and wine. You will be staying at the heart of the city and are well placed to access many of Cape Town’s top attractions, including Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and Robben Island.
Then you set off for the Kruger National Park and enjoy an exciting Big 5 safari at Lion Sands River Lodge, which is situated in the private Lions Sands Game Reserve, adjoining the Kruger and overlooking the Sabie River. The Lions Sands brand is renowned for sumptuous dining, luxury accommodation and amazing game viewing experiences, creating an unforgettable safari holiday.

Day to day
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport and make your way to More Quarters Apartment Hotel, situated amid the restaurants and cafes of fashionable Kloof Street. We recommend hiring a car or arranging a scheduled transfer – the former will give you far more freedom to explore Cape Town and its surroundings. Go2Africa is able to make all your transport and activity arrangements before you even set foot out of your home.
Settle in and get ready to explore: from the towering spectacle of Table Mountain to the pristine white sands of Camps Bay Beach, there is plenty to do and see in Africa’s favourite city.
This morning you make your way to Cape Town International Airport and fly to Skukuza Airport, gateway to the Kruger National Park. You will be met and transferred to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, a collection of private conservation areas adjoining the Kruger, and into Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. Check in at Lion Sands River Lodge, a luxury safari lodge overlooking the Sabie River and at the heart of Big 5 country.
The Sabi Sands consistently delivers some of the best game viewing on the African continent and you’ll be in the thick of things with early morning and late afternoon game drives on the hunt for the Big 5. The fact that Lion Sands is a private reserve means that you will also enjoy guided nature walks and exciting night drives as well.
After your morning drive you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the lodge’s main viewing deck and watch game come to drink at the river or you can relax with a pampering spa treatment before setting off again in the afternoon.
Today you enjoy a final game drive and breakfast before departing for Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. From there you will fly to Johannesburg for your flight home.
