You will arrive at Cape Town International Airport and be transferred to the Radisson Red Hotel, situated in the V&A Waterfront, which boasts renowned eateries and retail opportunities.
We recommend hiring a car or arranging a scheduled transfers – the former will give you far more freedom to explore Cape Town and its surroundings. Go2Africa can make all your transport and activity arrangements before you even set foot out of your home.

Settle in and get ready to explore. The next day brings a special outing into the Cape Winelands, where rolling vineyards meet a strong focus on sustainability. Travel in an electric car to visit forward-thinking farms, learn about the vital role of bees, and hand-pick fresh produce from organic gardens. Along the way, enjoy wine tastings and seasonal farm-to-table menus that celebrate the best of the region.

The rest of your stay give you time to explore some of Cape Town's highlights at your leisure. From the towering spectacle of Table Mountain to the pristine white sands of Camps Bay Beach, there is plenty to do and see in Africa’s favourite city. Enjoy exploring Cape Town, fondly called the ‘Mother City' by locals. Top things to do include heading up Table Mountain, visiting historic Robben Island, or taking a trip out to the Cape Winelands. Options are endless and you are guaranteed to find an outing for every family member.

You can also take on adventure activities including kite surfing, hiking or abseiling. For scenic days in the city, take a drive along Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point and encounter the endangered African penguins of Boulders Beach. Alternatively, you can spend your days on the beach, where azure waters lap the shores.

This morning you make your way to Cape Town International Airport and fly to Hoedspruit Airport, gateway to the Kruger National Park. You will then be met and transferred to the Thornybush Game Reserve.

Thornybush Lodge is an accumulation of delights: a pristine setting, dedicated staff, hospitable service and remarkable sights. Your days will become a treasured compilation of memories: from the shadow of a leopard materialising above you through a mist of trees, to a herd of elephants marching through the dust of an empty riverbed as you pause for sundowners.

Thornybush Game Lodge is spread across thousands of acres of unspoiled African bushveld, and you will spend your mornings and afternoons on guided game drives in open vehicles or on foot, in search of once-in-a-lifetime African wildlife encounters.

Being in a private Kruger reserve means that you can enjoy activities not normally permitted in the Kruger Park itself. Your ranger will go off-road for close-up views of extraordinary sightings and once it gets dark, you will be treated to spot-lit night drives in search of rare nocturnal creatures and big cats.

Included during your stay is a Thornybush Community tour: a 3-hour walking village tour, scheduled outside lodge activities. Immerse yourself into the community through cultural experiences, local folklore and stories, and traditional cuisine. You can visit one of the social impact programmes, where you are invited to engage in a 30-minute volunteer opportunity.
