Family Kruger & Victoria Falls
Spend seven memorable days experiencing two of Southern Africa’s undisputed highlights: majestic Victoria Falls and the wildlife-packed Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve.
Begin your luxurious holiday at a historic hotel within walking distance of Victoria Falls. You will have plenty of opportunities to experience the beauty of this magnificent natural wonder up close and there is a wide range of exciting activities to get the adrenalin pumping: favourites include white-water rafting, helicopter flights and bungee jumping.
Then you will recharge your batteries with a comfortable night in Mpumalanga before heading to the Sabi Sands, a private Big 5 reserve adjoining the legendary Kruger National Park, for exceptional game viewing and a genuine African safari experience.
When you book this safari Go2Africa will donate $20 to support the Endangered Wildlife Trust with tracking and monitoring equipment required to provide protection for endangered species.
When you book this safari Go2Africa will plant a tree in the Western Cape's Uilenkraal Valley, in partnership with Greenpop.
The hotel was great, especially sitting on the patio seeing the falls splash in the distance.
Today you will arrive at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa from where you will catch a scheduled flight to Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. A shared road transfer will take you to Victoria Falls Hotel where you will spend the next two nights.
The hotel is situated close enough to the Falls to simply walk there, where you will discover why it was named a Natural World Wonder. But besides ‘the Smoke that Thunders’ (its traditional name), there are many exciting activities in the area to choose from: you could take a microlight flight over the falls, bungee jump from Victoria Falls Bridge or go white-water rafting on the Zambezi River. Other favourites include canoe safaris, elephant interactions, and game drives and guided walks in nearby national parks.
Finish the day with a tranquil boat cruise down the hippo-filled Zambezi River – the perfect opportunity to toast the African sunset with a cool drink in hand.
Walking distance from Vic Falls via a direct walkway
Charming colonial style hotel - the Grand old Lady of the Falls
Fantastic views of the Falls and the bridge
Spacious, well-appointed rooms, some with lovely views
A host of excellent restaurants on offer - do try the High Tea on the veranda
Be welcomed and well-looked after by a team of friendly staff

Because of a cancellation our room at Olivers was upgraded. Again friendly, clean, luxury was the name of the game. We relaxed in a way unknown on the rest of the holiday. Quiet beauty, with a porch on the edge of the garden. It seemed like no one else was there. Yet there were no empty tables at dinner. Thank you Cindy for polishing my boots scuffed terribly from being in the bush.
Cross the border from Zimbabwe into Zambia and make your way to Livingstone Airport today for your return flight to South Africa. A private SUV transfer will take you from Oliver’s to Kruger-Mpumalanga International Airport, where you will be collected for the drive to the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve.
Your last three nights in Africa will be spent at Lion Sands River Lodge, a lavish safari camp set on the banks of Sabie River in prime game-viewing territory. Lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo and wild dog are all regularly seen on the expertly led game drives, and your guide will even take the open-sided vehicle off road for close-up views and great photographic opportunities. In between game drives, enjoy indulgent treatments at the spa or delicious cocktails at the bar overlooking the river.
