There’s plenty of time to lounge on the beach but you can also enjoy activities such as fishing, wind surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. Wind down after a day on or in the ocean with a book from the library or rejuvenate the mind and body with a massage or therapeutic treatment.

Something that sticks out, is the commitment of our hosts to accommodate us and make our experience outstanding. They accommodated our dinner venue at &Beyond on Mnemba Island. The people at Mnemba Island had the ability to anticipate our wants and needs and were always “ahead of the game”. NOTHING was too much for them and our butler, Rajab became our friend!
The food specifically was quite amazing. And it was pleasantly surprising that we never needed AC. Would recommend Mnemba highly across the board.
Itinerary information
On arrival in Zanzibar you’ll be transferred to Mnemba Island Lodge, a collection of secluded beachside cottages situated within a Marine Reserve.
The next five days are yours to do as much or as little as you want. Soak up the sun on gorgeous, secluded beaches, take to the translucent waters on a sea kayak, indulge yourself with a range of therapeutic massages and treatments – the choice is yours.
The lodge is situated within a marine reserve comprising distinct habitats which are home to a diverse array of Indian Ocean marine life. Mnemba offers spectacular diving and snorkelling opportunities, as well as fly fishing, and you can swim directly from the beach.
Lunch is selected by you, and a menu is drawn up everyday which you can discuss with your butler. Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobster, crab and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily on traditional ngalawa outriggers, and served on the beach each night or in the outside banda.
Beach barbeques are often organised, and for romantics, Mnemba Island Lodge can arrange a private beach dinner where you and your partner will feel the waves gently lapping at your feet as you dine.
Enjoy leisurely walks around the island, exploring the craft shops, or take a tour of the ‘Spice Island’, Zanzibar.
